the lumber. Then start the swinging motion once
again until the blade leaves the cut.
7. REPLACING AND REGULATING
STRAIGHT BLADES
WARNING! Disconnect the machine from the
power source before performing the following
operations.
REPLACING BLADES
Loosen screws D (Fig. 7) with the blade securing
key and move the blade laterally to free it from
the support. Place a new blade into the support
or use the second cutting edge of the blade just
extracted.
With the help of a ruler, S, confirm that the side of
the blade
reaches the level of the shoe and the base
without protruding and tighten the screws D (Fig.
7).
W
ARNI NG! It is very important to verify the side
of the blade with the ruler; if it exceeds the level
of the shoe or the base, it will rub against the late-
ral fence when the square is being used.
ADJUSTING BLADES
The blade supports are already adjusted from the
factory and do not require readjustment when the
blades are changed. However, if you wish to
readjust them, proceed as follows:
Set the shoe to "0" using knob C (Fig. 7).
Place a ruler S, between the shoe and the base
and loosen screws E of the blade support to lift or
lower the blade until it is perfectly even with the
ruler and parallel to the base of the machine (Fig.
7).

ARNI NG! Ensure that screws D (Fig. 7) are
correctly tightened before resuming work with the
machine. For blade-holder system spares use
only original RUPES components.
8. CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION BELT
WARNING! Disconnect the machine from the
power source before performing the following
operation. Unscrew screws G (Fig. 8) and remo-
ve protection F. Replace the worn belt with a
RUPES original spare, taking care to fit it correc-
tly into the pulley teeth, never forcing it.
9. DUST COLLECTOR CONNECTION
To assemble the dust collector connection,
detach the shaving outlet guide H (Fig. 9) by
removing screw I and insert the dust collector
connection in the same opening.
10. MAINTENANCE OF THE
BRUSHES AND COLLECTOR

ARNING! Disconnectfrom the mains before
carrying out any maintenance operations.
The brushes must be replaced when they reach
a minimum length of 5 mm (Fig. 8).
Unscrew the black caps J (Fig. 8) on the housing
and removethe brushes from the guide.
Replacethemwith new RUPES original spares,
ensuring thatthey move smoothly inside the gui-
des. Screw on the cap J which covers them and
leave the machine running for 15 minutes. If the
collector is burned or uneven it should be repai-
red by a RUPES service agent.
Always keep the lead and plug in good working
condition.
11. NOISE LEVEL AND VIBRATIONS
These levels have been measured according to
the European Standard EN50144. The noise
level in the workplace could go over 85 dB(A). In
this case it is necessary for the user to wear
noise protection.
12. WARRANTY
All RUPES powertools are guaranteed for 12
months fromthe date of purchase, excluding any
damagewhich is a result of incorrect use or of
natural wear and tear on the machine.All repairs
should be carried out by the official RUPES
technical assistance service.

3. UITRUSTING

In de doos vindt u de volgende onderdelen:

4. ALGEMENE BESCHRIJVING
De CP803V schaafmachine is uitgerust met een
voorschoen en een achterzool met instelbare
radiussen die het hen mogelijk maken om aange-
past te worden aan holle of bolle oppervlakken
voor het schaven. Via de voorschoen kan de
schaafdiepte worden ingesteld op tot 3 mm. De
schaafmachine is ook uitgerust met een laterale
geleiding; dubbel gebruik, hardmetaal, vervan-
gbare messen; een veiligheidsschakelaar en een
aansluiting voor een stofafzuiger.
5. LATERALE GELEIDING
Plaats de laterale geleiding L in positie en draai
vast met knop P (Fig. 1).
Het is aan te bevelen om te werken met de late-
rale geleiding gemonteerd waar mogelijk om te
zorgen voor loodrechtheid tussen het vlak van
het stuk en de messnede.
6. SCHAAFAFSTELLING VAN HOLLE
OPPERVLAKKEN
Schaven bij benadering:
Trek een referentielijn R voor het schaven bij
benadering (Fig. 2).
Stel de schaafdiepte in op "0" met knop C (Fig.
2).
Stel de schoen en de zool in op een radius die
iets kleiner is dan de te schaven radius met knop-
pen A en B (Fig. 2).
Stel de schoen in op de gewenste schaafdiepte
met knop C (Fig. 2).
Monteer de laterale geleider zoals aangegeven
in deel 5 (Fig. 1).
Schaaf onregelmatigheden uit het schoenopper-
vlak als een steun om het snijden te beginnen en
beweeg achtereenvolgens langs de gebieden
met onregelmatigheden naar de referentielijn.
Schaven ter afwerking:
Om een hol oppervlak met eenvormige dikte te
schaven of een continue afwerking te geven aan
een gesloten geschaafd oppervlak zoals
beschreven in het vorige deel, ga als volgt te
werk:
Stel de schaafdiepte in op "0" met knop C (Fig.
3).
Draai knoppen A en B los die de schoen en de
zool bevestigen. Plaats de schaafmachine op het
te bewerken oppervlak zodat de schoen en de
zool zich aan het oppervlak aanpassen en beve-
stig ze in de gewenste positie met knoppen A en
B (Fig. 3). Controleer dat de glijschoen en de
zool parallel zijn, zorg ervoor dat dezelfde verde-
ling getoond is over riemen L (Fig. 10) aan beide
kanten van de zaagmachine.
Stel de snijdiepte in op het gewenste niveau met
knop C (Fig. 3).
Monteer de laterale geleider zoals aangegeven
in deel 5 (Fig. 1).
Om het stuk te schaven, gebruik het schoenop-
pervlak als een steungeleider om het snijden te
beginnen en verbreed geleidelijk de steun naar
de volledige zool.
BOLLE OPPERVLAKKEN SCHAVEN
Schaven bij benadering:
Trek een referentielijn R voor het schaven bij
benadering (Fig. 4).
Draai knop A los, stel de snijdiepte in op "0" mid-
dels knop C en bevestig de schoen in horizonta-
le positie middels knop A (Fig. 4). Plaats de
machine op het te schaven stuk. Geef de zool
een iets hogere radius dan deze van het te scha-
ven stuk en bevestig deze in positie met knop B
(Fig. 4).
Stel de gewenste snijdiepte in via knop C (Fig. 4).
Monteer de laterale geleider zoals aangegeven
in deel 5 (Fig. 1).
Om onregelmatigheden uit te schaven per
gebied, gebruik de schoen of zooloppervlak als
een steun om het snijden te beginnen. Wanneer
op het stuk, pas de schaafpositie lichtjes aan
zodat deze ondersteund is aan de uiteinden van
de schoen en de zool, het dichtst bij de messen
