This is a 24-hour clock.
The example shows how to set the clock for 16:25 (4:25 pm).
1 Press [^] to turn the unit on.
2 Press [CLOCK/TIMER] to display “CLOCK”.
Each time you press the button:
CLOCK
/ z PLAY / z REC / Original display
3 Within 10 seconds
Press [u/2 REW/ ] or [1/i /FF] to set the
time.
Press and hold to change the time faster.
4 Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The time is set and the original display is restored.
Displaying the clock
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The clock is shown for about 10 seconds.
Or
Press [DISPLAY] until the clock is shown (
\ page 9).
The clock is shown until you change the display again.
The clock can gain or lose about one minute a month. Reset it regularly
to maintain accuracy.

When “MD”, “CD” or “TAPE” is selected as the source
To save power, the unit turns off if it is left unused for 10 minutes.
This function does not work if the source is tuner, AUX, P-MD, USB or
OPT IN.
Press and hold [SLEEP –AUTO OFF].
“AUTO OFF” is displayed.
To cancel
Press and hold [SLEEP –AUTO OFF] to clear “AUTO OFF” from
the display.
For your reference
¡ The setting is maintained even if the unit is turned off. When the unit is
turned on again, the unit functions as described above.
¡ If you select any source other than “MD”, “CD” or “TAPE”, “AUTO
OFF” goes out. It comes on again when you select “MD”, “CD” or
“TAPE”.
