SAFETY
• By ignoring the safety instructions the
manufacturer can not be hold responsible for
the damage.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord
and make sure the cord can not become
entangled.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Take the appliance andaccessoriesoutthebox.Removethe
stickers,protective foilorplasticfrom thedevice.
• Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10
cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for
installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
• Flush the machine through with clean water in the following steps:
– Make sure the all buttons are in the off position and that the steam
water knob is closed by turning clockwise.
– Lift out the tank, draw up the lid and fill with cold water up to the MAX
level marked. Alternatively draw up the lid and fill the tank whilst in
position on the espresso machine. We recommend using filtered
water as it produces better coffee and reduces limescale, never use
fizzy water.
– Refit the tank, make sure that it is correctly located and apply light
pressure if necessary to ensure the valve at the bottom of the tank
connects with the water inlet of the machine. It is normal for water to
remain in the compartment under the tank, this can be done using a
sponge.
– Set filter into the funnel (no coffee powder in filter).
– Place a jug. Make sure the steam control knob is on the “0” position.
– Connect to power source, turn the on/off switch to the “1” position.
The red lamp will be illuminated.
– Turn the control knob to the coffee/hot water position, the pump will
pump water. When there is water flowing out, turn the control knob to
the heating up position and waiting for a moment, the appliance
begins to be pre-heated until the green lamp is illuminated, it shows
the pre-heating is finish. Then turn the control knob to the coffee/hot
water position again, and water will flow out to clean the coffee
maker.
– Swing out the steam/hot water nozzle by turning it to the right. Place
a suitable container underneath the steam/hot water nozzle.
– Plug in the mains supply, Press down the on/off switch to the "1"
position. Turn the control knob to the steam function position, wait
until the green indicator is illuminated. Turn the steam control knob
slowly in anti-clockwise, steam will come out from the frothing device.
– Turn the control knob to the heating up position and the on/off switch
to “0” position to cut the power source off.
Important: You can not brew espresso if you have not flushed the
machine at first, the flushing cycle causes the boiler to fill with water. If you
have not used the machine for a few days, you have to flush it with fresh
water before you use it again.
• Note: When the appliance pumps the water for the first time, a sound
may be heard, this is normal, it is the removal of air in the appliance. The
sound will disappear after about 20 seconds.
USE
Making espresso
• Select the desired filter and fit into the filter holder. Use the smaller filter
for making one cup of coffee and the larger filter for 2 cups.
• Add the coffee using the measuring spoon provided one full spoon per
cup, level the surface then lightly press with the tamper of the measuring
spoon, wipe off any coffee around the rim. When buying ground coffee
make sure it is suitable for espresso machines. Never press the coffee
too firmly as the coffee will come out slowly and the cream will be of a
dark colour, however, if it is pressed too lightly ,the coffee will come out
too fast and the cream will be a light colour.
• Attach the filter holder into the appliance, turn it to the right to lock into
position. Put one or two cups underneath, if making one cup of coffee,
centre your cup in the middle. Ensure the on/off switch is on, the green
lamp will be illuminated. Then turn the control knob to the coffee/hot
water position, and there will be coffee flowing out.
• When you’ve enough coffee, not too much otherwise it will be too weak
(optimum dosage is 30ml per cup) manually turn the function knob to the
heating up position. If you are not making any more coffee, press the on/
off switch to turn off the appliance.
• Remove the filter holder by turning to the left. There will be water on the
filter when you remove it, this is normal.
• To remove the used coffee from the filter holder, please lift the plastic
pressing block to press the edge of filter, then tip the filter holder upside
down and tap out the grounds.
Note: During operation, if the green indicator is extinguished, you need to
turn the control knob to the heating up position to pre-heat the appliance
again. After a few seconds, if the green lamp is illuminated again, you can
make espresso coffee continued by turning the control knob to the coffee/
hot water position, the green lamp is cycle on and off to maintain the water
temperature is hot enough.
Important: Do not leave the coffee maker unattended during brewing, it
sometimes requires manual operation.
Frothing milk for cappuccino
• Prepare the espresso as previously described.
• Make sure there is water in the tank.
• Turn the control knob to the steam function position, wait until the green
indicator is illuminated, this indicates that the boiler has reached the
correct temperature.
• Partly fill a jug with milk - the milk may increase up to three times in
volume so select a suitably sized jug. Cold semi skimmed milk gives the
best results.
• Position the jug under the steam nozzle.
• Place the nozzle into the milk about 20mm deep and turn the steam
function knob in an anti clockwise direction, the milk will begin to
increase in volume and appear frothy. When the volume of the milk has
doubled, fully immerse the nozzle and continue heating the milk. Once
the desired temperature is reached(60℃ is optimum), stop the steam by
turning the steam function knob clockwise.
• Turn the control knob to the heating up position and the on/off switch to
the “0” position to cut the power source off.
Note: Never turn the steam control button rapidly, as the steam will
accumulate rapidly in short time which may increase the potential of the
risk of explosion.
Important:Never operate the steam nozzle for longer than 2 minutes at
one time.
Important:Never allow the milk to boil as this will spoil the flavour of the
coffee.
Important: To prepare more than one cup of cappuccino, first make all the
espresso coffees, then at the end prepare the frothed milk for all the
cappuccinos
• Important: Clean the steam outlet with a wet sponge immediately after
steaming stops, but be careful because the part may still be very hot.
Making hot water
• Push the on/off switch to the “1” position and the steam control knob to
the “0” position. Turn the control knob to the heating up position. The red
lamp will be illuminated, after a short while the red light will be off and the
green lamp will be illuminated to show that the device reached the right
temperature.
• Then turn the steam control knob from “0” to “+” position in anti-
clockwise. (Turn the knob with at least 135 degrees) Then turn the
control knob to the coffee/hot water position, and hot water will flow out
from the steam/hot water nozzle.
• Important: In the beginning, the hot water can be sprayed from the
steam pipe. Therefore, keep the steam nozzle close to the inside of the
coffee cup and make sure that this water does not touch the skin as it
may cause burns.
Producing steam to heat liquids.
The steam/hot water nozzle (without the frothing device) can be used to
make hot beverages like drinking chocolate, water or tea.
• Open the tank cover, remove the detachable tank and fill it with desired
water, the water level should not exceed the “MAX” mark in the tank.
Then place the tank into the appliance properly.
• Press the on/off switch to the “1” position, the red lamp is illuminated.
• Turn the steam control knob to “0” position, the control knob the heating
up position, the appliance begins to pre-heat until the green lamp is
illuminated, the device reached the right temperature.
• Dip the steam/hot water nozzle into the liquid to be heated. Turn the
steam control knob in anti-clockwise slowly to start making steam.
• Turn the steam control knob to “0” position when the required
temperature is reached.
• Press the on/off switch to the “0” position to cut the power source off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Never immerse the cord, plug, or appliance itself in water or other liquids.
• Always unplug the machine and make sure cool down before you clean
it.
• All the non-electrical parts can be washed in warm soapy water. Dry
thoroughly before reusing. These parts are not dishwasher safe. Never
use abrasive detergents.
Steam/hot water nozzle
• Pull out the rubber tube downwards, then wash thoroughly. Check that
the hole in the nozzle is not blocked, if necessary unblock them with a
pin.
Descaling
• The appliance has to be descaled every month, otherwise the coffee
taste will become bad and the scale deposited inside in the machine may
cause permanent and irreparable damage to the machine.
• In case of using solid descaler, make sure the descaler dissolves into
cold water fully before pouring into the water tank. Never use a descaler
based on mineral acids such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid,
sulphamic acid and acetic acid(e.g. vinegar).These descalers may
damage your machine.
• Mix adequate descaling agent with cold water in a measuring jug as per
its instructions. Fill the water tank up to the Max level with the prepared
descaling solution, then put the water tank back into the machine.
• Insert the funnel in the appliance.
• Place a cup under the steam/hot water nozzle.
• Connect to power source, turn the on/off switch to “1” position. Steam
control knob anticlockwise to the “+” position. Control knob to the coffee/
hot water position and water will flow out. Repeat this step until there is
half the of water is left in the water tank. Then turn the control knob to the
warming-up position to stop the appliance, leave the descaling agent in
the appliance for at least 15 minutes.
• Leave the machine to rest for 15 minutes, then press the on/off knob for
coffee and function button until the water tank is empty, then rinse it
thoroughly.
• Restart the unit and repeat previous step until no descaling agent is left.
• Then start brewing coffee with no coffee powder. Fill with tap water to the
Max level. Turn the on/off switch to the “1” position. Steam control knob
anticlockwise to the “+” position. Control knob to the coffee/hot water
position and water will flow out. Keep brewing until no water is left in the
tank.
• Repeat step 6 at least 3 times to ensure that the pipes are clean.

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos.Verwijder de stickers,
de beschermfolie of het plastic van het apparaat.
• Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke, stabiele ondergrond. Zorg voor
minimaal 10 cm vrije ruimte rondom het apparaat. Dit apparaat is niet
geschikt voor inbouw of gebruik buitenshuis.
• Spoel de machine met schoon water door de volgende stappen te
volgen:
– Zorg ervoor dat alle knoppen in de uit-stand staan en de knop voor
stoom/heet water is gesloten door deze rechtsom te draaien.
– Hef het reservoir uit het apparaat, til de deksel op en vul het reservoir
met koud water tot het met MAX gemarkeerde niveau. U kunt ook de
deksel optillen en het reservoir vullen terwijl dit op zijn plaats in de
espressomachine blijft. Wij adviseren u gefilterd water te gebruiken,
omdat dit betere koffie oplevert en kalkaanslag vermindert. Gebruik
nooit koolzuurhoudend water.
– Vul het reservoir weer en controleer of dit correct is geplaatst. Oefen
indien nodig lichte druk uit om te controleren of de klep aan de
onderzijde van het reservoir contact maakt met de waterinlaat van de
machine. Het is normaal dat water in het compartiment onder het
reservoir achterblijft. Dit kunt u met een spons verwijderen.
– Plaats de filter in de trechter (geen koffiepoeder in filter).
– Plaats een kan. Zorg ervoor dat de stoomregelknop op stand “0” staat.
– Sluit aan op voedingsbron, zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”. Het
rode lampje gaat branden.
– Draai de bedieningsknop naar de stand voor koffie/heet water, de
pomp zal water pompen. Draai de bedieningsknop naar de
verwarmingsstand als er water uit loopt en wacht een ogenblik. Het
apparaat begint met voorverwarmen totdat het groene lampje brandt.
Dit laat zien dat de voorverwarming is voltooid. Draai dan de
bedieningsknop weer naar de stand voor koffie/heet water en er loopt
water uit om de koffiemachine te reinigen.
– Draai het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk naar buiten door het naar rechts
te draaien. Plaats een geschikte houder onder het stoom-/
heetwatermondstuk.
– Steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op
stand “1”. Draai de bedieningsknop naar de stoomfunctiestand en
wacht tot het groene indicatielampje brandt. Draai de stoomregelknop
langzaam linksom. Er komt stoom uit de opschuimhulp.
– Draai de bedieningsknop naar de verwarmingsstand en zet de aan/uit-
schakelaar op stand “0” om de voedingsbron af te sluiten.
Belangrijk: U kunt geen espresso maken als u de machine niet eerst
heeft doorgespoeld. Door het spoelen vult de boiler zich met water. Spoel
als u de machine aan paar dagen niet heeft gebruikt deze met schoon
water voordat u de machine weer gaat gebruiken.
• Let op: Wanneer het apparaat voor de eerste keer het water pompt, is er
mogelijk een geluid hoorbaar. Dit is normaal, het is het verwijderen van
lucht in het apparaat. Het geluid stopt na 20 seconden.
GEBRUIK
Espresso maken
• Kies de gewenste filter en plaats deze in de filterhouder. Gebruik de
kleinere filter voor één kop koffie en de grote filter voor 2 kopjes.
• Voeg met behulp van de maatlepel één volle lepel per kop koffie toe,
maak het oppervlak vlak, druk de koffie licht aan met de stamper van de
maatlepel en veeg eventueel op de rand achtergebleven koffie weg.
Controleer bij het kopen van gemalen koffie of deze geschikt is voor
espressomachines. Druk de koffie niet al te stevig aan, omdat dan de
koffie langzaam uit het apparaat loopt en het schuim donker van kleur
zal zijn. Bij te licht aandrukken loopt de koffie echter te snel uit het
apparaat en wordt het schuim licht van kleur.
• Plaats de filterhouder in het apparaat, draai deze naar rechts en
vergrendel hem op zijn plaats. Plaats één of twee kopjes onder de
boileruitlaat. Plaats als u één kopje koffie maakt het kopje in het midden.
Zorg ervoor dat de aan/uit-schakelaar is ingeschakeld. Het groene
lampje gaat branden. Draai dan de bedieningsknop naar de stand voor
koffie/heet water en er zal koffie uit lopen.
• Draai als u voldoende koffie heeft - niet te veel omdat de koffie dan te
slap wordt (de optimale dosering is 30 ml per kop) - de functieknop
handmatig naar de verwarmingsstand. Druk als u verder geen koffie
meer gaat maken op de aan/uit-knop om het apparaat uit te schakelen.
• Verwijder de filterhouder door deze naar links te draaien. Op de filter zal
water aanwezig zijn, maar dit is normaal.
• Til om de gebruikte koffie uit de filterhouder te verwijderen het kunststof
aandrukblok op en druk op de rand van de filter. Kantel vervolgens de
filterhouder ondersteboven en klop de gemalen koffie eruit.
Let op: Als het groene indicatielampje tijdens het gebruik uitgaat, moet u
de bedieningsknop in de verwarmingsstand draaien om het apparaat
opnieuw voor te verwarmen. Na een paar seconden, als het groene lampje
weer brandt, kunt u espresso maken door de bedieningsknop op de stand
voor koffie/heet water te zetten. Het groene lampje gaat aan en uit om het
water warm te houden.
Belangrijk: Laat het koffiezetapparaat niet onbeheerd achter tijdens het
koffiezetten, het vergt soms handmatige bediening.
Melk opschuimen voor cappuccino
• Bereid de espresso zoals hierboven beschreven.
• Controleer of het reservoir water bevat.
• Draai de bedieningsknop naar de stoomfunctiestand. Wacht totdat het
groene indicatielampje brandt als teken dat de boiler de juiste
temperatuur heeft bereikt.
• Vul een kan gedeeltelijk met melk - het volume van de melk wordt drie
keer zo groot, dus kies een kan van een geschikte maat. Koude halfvolle
melk geeft het beste resultaat.
• Plaats de kan onder het stoommondstuk.
• Plaats het mondstuk ongeveer 20mm diep in de melk en draai de
stoomfunctieknop linksom. Het volume van de melk neemt toe en de
melk gaat er schuimachtig uitzien. Dompel als het volume van de melk is
verdubbeld het mondstuk geheel onder en ga verder met het verwarmen
van de melk. Stop de stoom zodra de gewenste temperatuur is bereikt
(60℃ is optimaal) door de stoomfunctieknop rechtsom te draaien.
• Draai de bedieningsknop naar de verwarmingsstand en zet de aan/uit-
schakelaar op stand “0” om de voedingsbron af te sluiten.
Let op: Draai de stoomknop nooit te snel omdat de stoom zich dan in
korte tijd ophoopt waardoor de kans op explosie wordt verhoogd.
Belangrijk: Gebruik het stoommondstuk nooit langer dan 2 minuten
achter elkaar.
Belangrijk:Zorg dat de melk niet gaat koken, want dit zal de smaak van
de koffie bederven.
Belangrijk: Maak bij het bereiden van meer dan één kop cappuccino eerst
alle espresso's en bereid hierna de opgeschuimde melk voor alle
cappuccino's.
• Belangrijk: Reinig de stoomuitlaat onmiddellijk na het stoppen met
stomen, maar wees voorzichtig, want het onderdeel kan nog steeds erg
heet zijn.
Heet water maken
• Druk de aan/uit-schakelaar in de stand “1” en de stoomregelknop in de
stand “0”. Draai de bedieningsknop naar de verwarmingsstand. Het rode
lampje gaat branden, na korte tijd gaat het rode lampje uit en gaat het
groene lampje branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat de juiste
temperatuur heeft bereikt.
• Draai vervolgens de stoomregelknop van stand “0” linksom naar stand
“+”. (Draai de knop ten minste 135 graden) Draai vervolgens de
bedieningsknop naar de stand koffie/heet water en er zal heet water uit
het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk lopen.
• Belangrijk: In het begin kan er heet water uit de stoompijp worden
gesproeid. Houd het stoommondstuk daarom dicht bij de binnenkant van
de koffiekop en zorg ervoor dat dit water de huid niet raakt, omdat dit
brandwonden kan veroorzaken.
Stoom maken om vloeistoffen op te warmen.
Het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk (zonder opschuimhulp) kan worden
gebruikt om warme dranken te maken zoals chocolademelk, water of thee.
• Open het deksel van het reservoir, verwijder het afneembare reservoir
en vul dit met het gewenste water. Het waterniveau mag niet hoger zijn
dan het “MAX”-teken in het reservoir. Plaats vervolgens het reservoir op
de juiste manier in het apparaat.
• Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”. Het rode lampje brandt.
• Draai de stoomregelknop naar stand "0", de bedieningsknop naar de
verwarmingsstand. Het apparaat begint voor te verwarmen totdat het
groene lampje brandt. Het apparaat heeft de juiste temperatuur bereikt.
• Dompel het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk in de vloeistof die u wilt
verwarmen. Draai de stoomregelknop langzaam linksom om te beginnen
met stomen.
• Draai de stoomregelknop naar stand "0" wanneer de gewenste
temperatuur is bereikt.
• Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “0” om de voedingsbron af te sluiten.
REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
• Dompel nooit het snoer, de stekker of het apparaat zelf onder in water of
enige andere vloeistof.
• Haal voor het reinigen altijd de stekker van de machine uit het
stopcontact en zorg dat de machine is afgekoeld.
• U kunt alle niet-elektrische onderdelen in een warm sopje afwassen.
Droog ze zorgvuldig voordat u de machine weer gaat gebruiken. Deze
onderdelen zijn niet geschikt voor de vaatwasser. Gebruik nooit
schurende reinigingsmiddelen.
Spuitmond voor stoom/heet water
• Trek de rubberen buis omlaag en spoel deze grondig door. Controleer of
het gaatje in de spuitmond niet is verstopt. Maak het gaatje indien nodig
met een pen open.
Ontkalken
• Ontkalk het apparaat maandelijks, anders krijgt de koffie een nare smaak
en kan kalkaanslag de machine blijvend en onherstelbaar beschadigen.
• Zorg bij gebruik van een vast ontkalkingsmiddel dat dit middel volledig in
koud water is opgelost voordat u het in het waterreservoir giet. Gebruik
nooit een ontkalkingsmiddel op basis van minerale zuren zoals
zwavelzuur, zoutzuur, amidosulfonzuur en azijnzuur (zoals azijn). Deze

• Meng volgens de instructies voldoende ontkalkingsmiddel met koud
water in een maatbeker. Vul het waterreservoir tot het maximumniveau
met de bereide ontkalkingsoplossing. Plaats vervolgens het
waterreservoir terug in de machine.
• Plaats de trechter in het apparaat.
• Plaats een kop onder het stoom-/heetwatermondstuk.
• Sluit aan op voedingsbron. Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”.
Stoomregelknop linksom naar de "+” stand. De bedieningsknop naar de
stand voor koffie/heet water en er zal water uit lopen. Herhaal deze stap
totdat de helft van het water in het waterreservoir is overgebleven. Draai
vervolgens de bedieningsknop naar de verwarmingsstand om het
apparaat te stoppen en laat het ontkalkingsmiddel gedurende ten minste
15 minuten in het apparaat zitten.
• Laat de machine 15 minuten rusten. Druk vervolgens op de aan/uit-knop
voor koffie en de functieknop totdat het waterreservoir leeg is.
Voorzichtig omspoelen.
• Start het apparaat opnieuw en herhaal de voorgaande stap totdat er
geen ontkalkingsmiddel meer over is.
• Start dan met koffiezetten zonder koffiepoeder. Vul met kraanwater tot
het Max-niveau. Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op stand “1”. Stoomregelknop
linksom naar de "+” stand. De bedieningsknop naar de stand voor koffie/
heet water en er zal water uit lopen. Blijf brouwen tot er geen water meer
in het reservoir zit.
• Herhaal stap 6 minstens 3 keer om ervoor te zorgen dat de leidingen
schoon zijn.
MILIEU
Dit apparaat mag aan het einde van de levensduur niet bij het
normale huisafval worden gedeponeerd, maar moet bij een speciaal
inzamelpunt voor hergebruik van elektrische en elektronische apparaten
worden aangeboden. Het symbool op het apparaat, in de
gebruiksaanwijzing en op de verpakking attendeert u hierop. De in het
apparaat gebruikte materialen kunnen worden gerecycled. Met het
recyclen van gebruikte huishoudelijke apparaten levert u een belangrijke
bijdrage aan de bescherming van ons milieu. Informeer bij uw lokale
overheid naar het inzamelpunt.
