5. SAFETY RELAY
Some models of the Power Charger Pro have a pair of extra cables in addition to the
standard ones used for the recharge, they are recognizable from their lower section;
this pair of cables leads out the dry contact of a normally closed relay that has to be
used when the charger is installed on board of electrical moving machines, such as
floor cleaning machines, washer-driers etc.
The normally closed contact must be connected to the inhibition point of the
machine, so that when the main is used to charge the batteries, the relay switches on
the "open" position, takes off (disables) the power supply and stops the electrical
machine, ensuring the recharge and preventing the accidentally use of the machine by
the operator while the external cable is connected to the mains.
6. INSTALLATION
The Power Charger Pro has various fixing points on the flanges, to facilitate the
fixing of the charger in any position without increasing the overall dimensions.
Before installing and connecting the device, remember to properly select the
appropriate charging curve for the battery pack to be recharged.
Connect the output cables with the larger section to the battery pack, use the cables
with the lower section "SAFETY RELAY" if the device has been installed on board
of moving machines.
If the pair of cables with the larger section is BROWN-BLUE color, the
POSITIVE is the BROWN cable.
The cooling fan/fans are electronically controlled by the microcontroller which
decides the power and speed according to the conditions of the internal and
environment temperature.
