PLA YING MP3/DivX/PICTURE FILES
Y ou can connect a USB ash drive (not included) to the USB connect or port on the unit
to play MP3/DivX/PICTURE les.
1. Pl ug the USB ash drive into the USB port on the unit.
2. Press
SOURCE
button, then press to selec t “Media”. Press to
select “USB” , then press
ENTER
to conrm. (Note: Select “DVD” to
switch to disc mode.)
For operation of playing les on the USB ash drive, please refer to the section “PLA YING
MP3/DivX/PICTURE FILES”
Note:
• It is recommended USB ash drive when the unit is in OFF mode.
• There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all
different models. Ple ase try another USB device if your de vice is not supported.
Cleaning
Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC adaptor before maintaining the
unit.
• Use a sof t, dry , clean cloth. Reg ularly dust the vents at the back or sides.
• Using sol vents, abrasive or alcohol-based produc ts risks damaging the appliance.
• If an obje ct or liquid enters inside the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it
checked by an authorized enginee r .
Note on disc
• Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may
result in malfunctions.
• Do not place more than one disc in the disc compar tment.
• Do not try t o open the disc c ompartment during playing.
• Do not touch the lens. Doing so may c ause malfunction.
• If there is a scra tch, dirt or ngerprints on the disc, it may cause tracking error. Before
playing, clea n the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. Don’t
store discs in places with high temper atures or high humidity , they can become
warped. After playing , store the disc i n its case.
Importan t Note
• Bef ore transpor ting the unit, remove the disc from the disc compartment.
SAFETY W ARNING!
On no account should this unit be used by the driver of a mo ving motor vehicle, or left
unsecured in the vehicle whilst drivi ng. If this unit is being u sed by a passenger in your
vehicle, be sure that it is secured or hel d safely , and does not obstruct any safety device
(i.e. ai rbag, seat belt etc.) that is tted.
No power .
• Ensure th e AC adaptor is connected .
• Make sure that the unit is turned o n.
The remote control do es not f unction.
• Make sure t he infrared r emote sensor is not blocked.
• Point the remote directly at the infrared remote sensor on the unit.
• Replace t he batter y in the r emote w ith a new one.
V er y little o r no sound is coming from a DVD.
• Make sure that the unit is turned O N.
• Make sure the unit is no t paused. Pres s .
• Make sure the u nit is not in fast-forward or fast-reverse mode. P r ess .
• Make sure that the connections ar e correc t.
• Make sure the
MUTE
function is not on.
The player doe s not star t playback
• Insert the disc with the printed side facing u p.
• Check that the disc can ac tually be playe d by this devic e.
• Check tha t the disc’s re gional code mat ches the play er ’s regional code. This play er ’s
regional code is 2.
• Clean the disc.
The picture is not clear .
• The DVD is dirty . Gent ly clean the disc.
• The disc is scratched.
• Please adjust the LCD’s brightn ess and contrast in SETUP ME NU.
Forget Passw ord
If you for get your o wn password, enter “1369” to reset.

3. Adjust the straps tightly so that the unit is secured.
4. Connect the 12V car plug as shown.

Navigating the setup menu

A TTENTION:
T o reduce the risk of electr ic shock, do not

inside the unit. Refer all servicing to qualied per sonnel.
NEVER t make shif t s tands or legs with w oodscrews. Use only approved supports and
fasteners specially designed for the equipment.
NEVER let anyone, especially c hildren, push objects into holes, v entilation slots or any
other opening; this could result in fatal electr ic shock!
AL WA YS disconnect the AC adaptor when you are not going to use the unit f or a long
period of time.
ENSURE that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, ex tension leads and
interconnecti ons betwe en pieces of equipment) ar e properly made in acc ordance wi th
the instructions given. Switch off the main supply when making or changing connections.
CONSUL T your dealer if you are e ver in doubt ab out the installa tion, operation or safet y
of y our equipm ent.
DON’T continue to oper ate the equipment if it is damaged in an y way or if i t does not
function normally . Disconnect the A C adaptor and c onsult your dealer.
DON’T leave equ ipment switched on when it is unattended unless it is part of it’s normal
function to operate in your absence, for example a video cassette recorder with timed
recording facility .
LISTEN to headphones at modera te volume le vels; high volume lev els can permanent ly
damage your h earing.
W ARNING:
• AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and
should not be obstructed during intended use. T o be completely disconnected the
apparatus f rom supply mains, the AC adaptor o f the appar atus shall be disc onnected
from the mains sock et outlet c ompletely .
• Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lea d in a saf e manner and
make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power le ad is damaged
refer to a qualied servic e agent.
• Place th e unit o n a at and even surface .
• Do not res trict the air ow of the unit by placing it in a place with poor air ow , by
covering it with a cloth, or by placing it on carpeting.
• T o avoid magnet ized, do not place the unit near speak er or ma gnet.
• Do not use this unit in direct sunlight or leave the unit in a closed automo bile (or yacht,
etc) where it would be exposed to high temperatures above 40°C.
• It also should not be placed in temperatures less than 5°C or greater than 35°C.
• No naked ame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the AC adaptor
and main unit.
• Do no t use the unit immediately after transport ation from a cold place t o a warm place,
condensation problem may result.
• The ventilation should not be imped ed by covering the ventilation openings with items
such as newspapers, table-cloths, cu r tains, etc.
• No naked ame sources, such as l ighted candles, should be pl aced on the apparatus.
• The use of apparatus in mo derate c limates.
• The appara tus should not be expo sed to dripping or splashing.
• Ensure a minimum distance of 5cm ar ound the apparatus for suf cient ventila tion.
• Do not place objects lled with liquid s, such as vases, on th e apparatus.
• The mar king plate is loca ted on the bo ttom of unit.
• Attent ion should be drawn to the environmental aspect s of bat tery disposal.
• Do not throw batteries in re!
• Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine , re or the like.
• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and head phones can cause hearing loss.
• Under the inuence of electric al fast tran sient or/and electr ostatic phenomenon, the
product may malfunction and require user to po wer rese t.
The lightning ash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign
alerting the user of “dangerous voltage” inside t he unit.
The exclamation point within th e triangle is a warning sign a lerting the user of
important instruc tions accompanying the product.

P ARENT AL
Some DVD discs are equipped with a password function and are rated according to
their conten t. The contents allowed by p arental lock level and t he way a DVD disc is
controlled may var y from disc to disc. For example, if the disc allows, you could lock-
out violent scenes unsu itable for children or you could lock out playback of the disc
altogether.
Y ou cannot play DVD d iscs rated higher than the level you sel ected unless you cancel
the parental lock func tion.
The parental lo ck levels are equivalent to the following ra tings.

DivX VOD
• Some DivX Video-On-Demand les required registration code, please get the code of
your DVD pla yer .
• Regist ration code is for DivX Video-On-Demand on ly , do not apply this code for
another applicat ions or web sites.
TV DISPLA Y
4:3 P ANSCAN
• When wide-screen video is played, this mode clips the right and left sides of the image
so that it can be viewed on a conventional screen.
• Some wide-screen DVDs that do not permit Pan Scan mode playback are
automatically playe d in letterbox mode (black bands top and bottom).
4:3 LETTE RBOX
• When wide-screen video is played in this mode on a conventional screen, black band s
appear at t he top and bot tom of t he screen.
16:9 (Wide screen)
• This is the correct mode for playing wide-screen videos on a wide-screen TV .
WIDE SQUEEZE
The wide-screen image will be displayed in ful l screen in its native aspect ratio and so
does the 4:3 image but with black borders on the left and the right side.
Notes:
• The visible pic ture size is preset on the D VD disc. Therefor e the play back pictur e of
some DVD discs ma y not conf orm to the picture siz e you select.
• Wh en you play DVD discs rec orded in the 4: 3 aspect ratio, the playback picture
will always appears in the 4:3 aspect ratio regardless of the TV shape setting in the
function setup menu.
ANGLE MARK
ON:
T o show angle mar k when a disc with multiple camer a angles is play ing. Y ou can
view different camera angles of a DVD disc by pressing
ANGLE
button on remo te
control.
OFF:
T o hide angle mark.
NOTE: This function is only available for discs encode d with multiple camer a angles.
