Power on
LaCie 1big Dock powers on when:
Connected to a computer that supports Thunderbolt 3 or USB.
Plugged into a live power outlet.
The LEDs blink blue while the disk spins up.
Power off
Follow the steps below to turn the device off:
1. Make certain that the device’s volumes are not being accessed.
2. Eject the 1big Dock from your computer’s operating system.
3. Disconnect the device from your computer.
Power-saving mode
LaCie 1big Dock can conserve energy by entering power-saving mode. Power-saving mode can extend the
life of the hard drive by powering it down during extended periods of inactivity. Docking features remain
active while in power-saving mode.
The device can be put into power-saving mode using the sleep button:
1. Make certain that 1big Dock’s volumes are not being accessed.
Caution: Do not operate LaCie 1big Dock until the ambient temperature is within the specified
temperature range. See System Overview.
Important info: Always safely eject 1big Dock from your computer before powering off
1big Dock. See Safely Remove Device From Your Computer.
