n Never attempt to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself. Repairs by unskilled persons may cause damage
and the guarantee shall no longer apply. Take your appliance to an approved service centre for repair.
n Do not move or unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord as it may cause an accident or cause the ap-
pliance to malfunction.
n Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug is damaged. To avoid all possible danger, have
them replaced at an approved Krups service centre (See helpline below).
n For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts which are suitable for your appliance.
n To avoid electric shocks, ensure that your fingers do not come into contact with the plug pins when you
plug in or unplug the appliance.
n Do not leave the appliance switched on or plugged in while unattended, even for a few moments,
especially where children are present.
n Do not plug any other appliances into the same plug hole using adapters. Electric overload is likely to da-
mage the appliance or cause an accident. Only use an extension lead after having checked that it is in
perfect working order.
n For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations:
- Low voltage directive
- Electromagnetic compatibility
- The environment
- Materials in contact with food
n Do not touch the whisks, mixers, the multi-blade mixer (depending on model) nor the blender
base when the appliance is in operation. Keep long hair and scarves etc. away from the ac-
cessories when in operation.
n Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply when left unattended before as-
sembly, disassembly or cleaning.
n Do not attach different accessories at the same time.
• Always use the accessory with the mixer positioned on a flat, clean and dry surface, then
connect the appliance.
• The blender base accessory has very sharp blades, take care when cleaning.
n Always check that the speed selector is at “0” before turning the appliance on.
n To avoid accidents, ensure that hair, clothes or other objects do not catch on the moving parts of the
appliance.
n In order to prevent injury to yourself and to others, and to avoid damaging the appliance, do not touch
the whisks or mixers or the blender base blades or insert any objects (knife, fork, spoon, etc.) into the
holes. A spatula may be used instead, only when the appliance is not in operation.
n To avoid damage to the appliance, never place the appliance or its accessories in the freezer, oven or
microwave.
n The appliance and its accessories have been designed for preparing food products. They must not be
used for mixing other products.
n Before using for the first time, remove the accessories from the packaging and clean them with hot water.
n Dry carefully.
