CD PLAYER
You can use a normal audio CD or a data CD (CD-R, CD-RW) with MP3/WMA files. While an audio CD •
contains up to 80 minutes music, a MP3/WMA CD can contain 12 hours and more.
This appliance supports the CD formats of audio CD, writable CD-R and CD-RW with MP3/WMA files.•
The appliance supports the playback of writable CDs. The playback quality may depend on the recording •
quality and on the quality of the disc. Playback cannot be guaranteed in all situations. This is not a
malfunction.
Inserting and removing a CD
Open the CD compartment (28) with • OPEN/CLOSE (29) on the
appliance’s top side. The display (3) shows OPEN (Fig. 5).
Put the CD with the printed side facing upwards into the CD •
compartment. Press down in the centre part of the CD until it
locks onto the centre spindle.

Lower the CD door downwards and close it. The CD is now ready to be played.•
Before opening the CD compartment always ensure the CD is not rotating. Always press the stop button (37) •
to stop a rotating CD.
Remove the CD by placing one finger at the middle of CD (centre spindle) and the other at the edge of the •
CD. Gently pull the CD upwards.
Notes:
Remove the CD from the compartment only when the CD compartment is completely open.•
Do not insert more than one CD at the same time into the CD compartment.•
Do not insert any other objects than CDs into the CD compartment. •
Never touch the lens.•
Subjecting the appliance to shock or vibrations can cause it to skip CD tracks.•
A high volume can cause skipping of tracks due to vibration.•
Ensure that the CD compartment is closed unless changing the CD.•
Do never open the CD compartment if a CD is played or if the CD is still rotating.•
Playing a CD
Choose the CD mode. Press the • FUNCTION button (36) repeatedly until CD is displayed.
Insert a CD and close the CD compartment (28). The display shows • READING.
If no CD is inserted into the CD compartment or no CD is recognized, the display shows • NO DISC.
Press • (38) to start playback.
Press • (38) again to pause playback. The time flashes in
the display (Fig. 6).
Press the stop button (37) to stop playback.•
