Subprogrammes
One DAB programme can contain further subprogrammes (secon-
dary service componets), such as live broadcasts, or news in
foreign languages.
Calling up subprogrammes
Subprogrammes are available if »DX« appears in the display.
1 Press the »<« or »>« button until the signal sounds.
– You will hear the first available subprogramme.
2 Briefly press »<« or »>« to call up further subprogrammes.
Note:
In order to use all DAB functions again, you must exit the sub-
programmes range.
Quitting subprogrammes
1 Press the »<« or »>« button until the signal sounds.
– The DAB main programme is heard again.
Notes on DB reception
If the display indicates »NO SYNC«, no DAB reception is possible.
Your vehicle is either driving outside the DAB reception area or the
aerial is not correctly connected.
Certain DAB programmes offer additional data services (text infor-
mation) which can be visualized in the display. For this, press the
»MONO« button in DAB mode until the signal sounds. If no data is
transmitted, the display will indicate »NO INFO«. Briefly press
»MONO« again to switch the function off.
Please observe that programmes which are broadcast in the
L-Band may have only a local transmission range. If your vehicle
enters a new DAB area, you should therefore always activate the
LEARN function.
If the station tuned to is a traffic programme station but does not
transmit the DAB traffic programme signal, the radio switches auto-
matically to a DAB traffic programme station. If no traffic pro-
gramme signal is transmitted on DAB, the radio switches automati-
cally to FM/RDS reception provided the corresponding setting has
been made in the DAB configuration menu (page 47).
