“BIKE¨ handle installation

• To install the handle onto the unit, you will need the following components from your user kit: “Bike” handle (A), fixing holder (B), clamp (C)
and screws (D).
• Install the fixing holder (B) on the shaft about 4” (10- 12 cm) away from the end of the grip, attach clamp (C) and tighten the 2 screws (D).
• Install the U handle (A) on the fixing holder, attach the other clamp (C) and tighten the other 2 screws (D).
• Install wire tie (E) included in the user kit as shown.
Installing the attachment

To avoid serious personal injury, shut unit off before removing or installing attachment.
Note: To make installing or removing the attachment easier, place the unit on the ground or on a work bench.
• Turn the knob (A) counterclockwise to loosen .
• While firmly holding the attachment (B), push it straight into the Quick-Change coupler (C) until the release button (D) appears in the
primary hole (E) of the Quick-Change coupler.
The release button must be in the primary hole and the knob securely tightened before operating this unit.
• Turn the knob (A) clockwise to tighten.
All attachments are designed to be used in the primary hole unless otherwise indicated in the specific attachments operators manual. If the
incorrect hole is used, it could result in injury, or damage to the unit.
Blade guard installation

• Remove gear collar (A) from the threaded gear housing shaft.
• Place the shield on the gear housing and align the mounting holes. Insert screws (B) as shown in illustration and tighten securely.
• Reinstall the gear collar (A). Ensure the collar spacer (C) is in place or the collar will rub on the gear housing.
Stringhead installation

• Install gear collar (A) ensuring that the collar spacer (B) is in place.
• Insert holding pin (C) and thread the stringhead onto the shaft. Tighten stringhead by hand only.
Debris shield skirt installation

Turn the unit over and install the debris shield skirt (A) as shown.
The skirt must be installed in order to correctly dispense the cutter line and protect operator
Removal and installation of the blade cover

Before you disassemble the blades, wear gloves to prevent any danger.
When the machine is not in use or in transportation, make sure the blades are covered.
• Before assembling blade (A), remove the blade cover (B) first.
• Hold the blades cover, and pull the cover slightly outward so the cover can be taken apart.
• Assemble in the opposite manner to cover the blades.

• To install the blade you will need the items illustrated below (screwdriver not provided): holding pin (B), retaining nut (C), blade (D),
screwdriver (E), flange (F), socket wrench (G).
