WARNING Before using the cot with the Bugaboo Frog chassis for the first time you
should read parts G and H of these instructions.
E PREPARING THE BUGABOO FROG SEAT
The Bugaboo Frog seat is made ready for use by fitting the seat cover and the handle to the seat/cot
frame. The seat/cot frame can also be used with the cot liner. If the cot liner is already fitted to the seat/cot
frame and you want to turn it into a seat you will first need to remove the cot liner. See diagram C (carry out
the instructions in reverse order).
Fitting the seat cover to the seat/cot frame
1
Stand the seat/cot frame as shown in the diagram.
2
Slide the sleeve of the seat cover over the top of the seat/cot frame with the Bugaboo logo at the front.
Check that the rounded top of the sleeve is at the rounded end of the seat/cot frame. Pull the sleeve down
tightly. Fasten the sleeve of the backrest at the bottom and sides with the Velcro. Fold the seat portion
inwards to make the unit into a seat.
3
Position the O-ring over the projecting pin (see red arrow A). Then position the seat on to the side. Bend
the seat/cot frame inwards by pushing on the side of the seat/cot frame (see red arrow B). Pull the ties
and position the O-ring over the projecting pin (see red arrow C).
4
Click the ties together under the seat (see red arrow A). Fasten the two Velcro strips at the foot to the
underside of the seat/cot frame (see red arrow B). Make sure that the velcro strips and the ties are prop-
erly fastened. Then slip the waist straps through the appropriate holes in the sides of the seat cover (see
red arrow C).
Attaching the sun canopy
The sun canopy is attached to the seat in the same way as to the cot. See diagram C2.
Attaching the handle
5
Attach the handle to the seat by pressing the small white square buttons and sliding the ends into the
appropriate slots until you hear a click on both sides. Before lifting the seat by the handle always check
that the handle is fitted correctly.
Removing the handle
6
To remove the handle from the seat, press the small square buttons firmly and slide the ends of the
handle out of the slots.
WARNING Before lifting the seat by the handle always check that the handle is fitted
correctly.
F USING THE SEAT FREESTANDING AND ON THE CHASSIS
The Bugaboo Frog seat is designed to carry one child from birth up to a weight of 17 kilograms. The
Bugaboo Frog seat can be used freestanding. When used freestanding the backrest should be placed in the
semi-reclining position. When the seat is on the chassis the backrest can be adjusted to a sitting, semi-reclin-
ing and reclining position. The angle between the backrest and the seat portion of the Bugaboo Frog seat unit
remains unchanged. In the case of infants under six months we advise you not to use the seat in the sitting
position but only in the reclining and semi-reclining position, and then for no more than two hours at a stretch.
Seat used freestanding with backrest in semi-reclining position
1
The seat can only be placed freestanding on the ground with the backrest in the semi-reclining position.
To set this position, open out the side brackets.
Attaching the seat to the chassis
Slide the side brackets of the seat onto the lugs sticking up from the chassis until you hear a click on both
sides of the Bugaboo Frog(in the same way as with the cot). See diagram D1.
Changing the position of the seat after attaching it to the chassis
2
The seat can be placed in the sitting, semi-reclining or reclining position by pressing the round buttons on
the side brackets and at the same time tilting the seat to the required position.
