According to the World Health Organisation (WHO 2001), the percentage of body water should lie within the
following ranges:
Women: 50 – 55 %
Men: 60 – 65 %
Children: 65 – 75 %
In persons with a high proportion of fat, the percentage of body water obtained is very often below the sta-
ted guidelines.
3. Incorrect measurement
If the scale detects an error during weighing, „Err“ appears in the display.
Possible causes for errors:
- The scale was not activated before being stepped
on to
- The maximum 150 kg weight-bearing capacity
was exceeded
- The electrical resistance between the electrodes
and the soles of your feet is too high (e.g. in cases
of extremely hard skin)
- You did not stand still enough on the scale
- Your body fat is not within the measurable range
(less than 5% or greater than 50%)
- The percentage of water lies outside the measu-
rable range (less than 43% or greater than 75%)
Error handling:
- Activate the scale correctly and reweigh
- Only weigh maximum permitted weight
- Please repeat the measurement with bare feet.
If necessary, you can wet your feet a little. If
necessary, calluses should be removed on the
soles of the feet
