INTRODUCTION
The T yphoon H is an advanced aerial photography and videography platform. Thanks to
Y uneec’s spirit of innovation and pursuit of advanced technology, the TYPHOON H, the
smallest and smartest member of the TYPHOON family , is the best choice for skilled pilots
and photographers alike. The T yphoon H offers up to 22 minutes of flight time while filming
with the CGO3+ 4K-resolution camera. The copter is powered by its easy, intuitive remote
control, the ST16 Personal Ground Station, which features a 7-inch Android touchscreen
that displays live footage of your flight.
OVERVIEW
PLACEMENT BEFORE T AKEOFF
WARNING: Always operate the TYPHOON H in open areas (approximately 10000 square
feet/930 square meters or more) tha t are fr ee from people, vehicles, trees and other
obstructions. Never fly near or above crowds, airports or buildings.
CHARGING THE LIPO FLIGHT BA TTERY AND ST16 BA TTERY
P ower the SC4000-4 char ger from a 100-240V AC outlet using the AC adapter/power
supply, or from a 12V-16.8V DC accessory socket/cigaret te lighter receptacle in a vehicle
using the included adapter .
Plug the aircraf t battery into the charger por t as illustrated.
A green blinking LED indicates the charger is powered on and ready to charge, and a red
blinking LED indicates the battery is charging. It will take appr oximately 2.5 hours to
charge a fully discharged (not over-dischar ged) battery . A solid green LED indicates the
battery is fully charged.
WARNING:
All instructions and warnings must be followed exactly to pr event proper ty
damage and/or serious injury as the mishandling of Li-ion/LiPo batteries can result in fire.
FOR THE ST16 GROUND ST A TION
Y ou can charge the ST16 battery by using supplied USB cable and inserting it into the USB
port on the charger . It will take approximately 5 hours to charge a fully discharged (not
over-dischar ged) battery.
WARNING:
Do not plug the battery in the char ger for long time when the charging finishes
or the charger alerts.
Never attempt to opera te the TYPHOON H nearby tall buildings/obstructions tha t do not
offer a clear view of the sky (a minimum clearance of 100°).
Be sure to place the TYPHOON H on a level and stable surface before powering ON the
Ground Station and the aircraft.

STEP 1: ASSEMBLING THE ARMS
Unfold the motor arms and secure them until hearing a 'click'.
STEP 2: INST ALLING THE PROPELLERS
IMPORT ANT NOTE:
Always ensure propellers are installed properly. The motors are
extremely powerful, meaning that if the device is misused there is a risk of material
damage, serious injury and even fatal injury .
Mount the propellers on the motors and note the 'A' and 'B' given on the motor arms. This
distinction between 'A' and 'B' refers to pr opeller 'A' and 'B'. Mount pr opeller 'A' on motor
'A' and propeller 'B' on motor 'B' press and rota te propellers in the direction the
points to, and the propellers will be locked.
STEP 3: INST ALLING THE FLIGHT BA TTERIES
P ush the battery into the battery compartment with the YUNEEC logo facing upwards until
hearing a 'click', which means the battery is installed successfully.
STEP 4: REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE C OVER AND INSER T THE SD C ARD
Carefully remove the protecve cover from the camera lens. Insert the included 16GB card or any Class
10 microSD card from 16GB to 128GB.
NOTICE:
Gently open the baery cap to the maximum
degree (to a posion where is almost horizontal with the
GPS cover), then you can pull the baery out.
NOTICE:
Press the 'Press' buon and you can fold
the motor arms.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
WARNING: F ailure to use this pr oduct in the intended manner as described in the quick start guide
and instruction manual can result in damage to the pr oduct, property and/or cause serious injury . A
Radio Controlled (RC) multir otor air craft, APV platform, drone, etc. is not a toy! If misused it can cause
serious bodily harm and damage to property .
WARNING:
As the user of this product you are solely and wholly responsible for operating it in a
manner that does not endanger yourself and others or result in damage to the product or the
property of others.
Keep your hands, face and other par ts of your body away from the spinning pr opellers/rotor blades
and other moving parts at all times. Keep items that could impact or become entangled away from
the propellers/rotor blades including debris, parts, tools, loose clothing, etc.
Always operate your aircr aft in open areas that ar e free from people, vehicles and other obstructions.
Never fly ne ar or above crowds, airports or buildings.
T o ensure proper operation and safe flight performance never at tempt to oper ate your aircraft
nearby buildings or other obstructions that do not of fer a clear view of the sky and can restrict GPS
reception.
Do not attempt to operate your aircraft in areas with potential magnetic and/or radio interference
including are as nearby br oadcast towers, power transmission sta tions, high voltage power lines, etc.
Always keep a safe distance in all directions ar ound your aircraft to avoid collisions and/or injury. This
aircraf t is controlled by a radio signal subject to interference fr om many sources outside your
control. Interference can cause momentary loss of control.
T o ensure proper and safe operation of the automatic landing function in Home Mode you must
start the motors with the aircraft in a position that has at least 10 feet (approximately 3 meters) of
clear and open space ar ound it and achieve a proper GPS lock.
Do not attempt to operate your aircr aft with any worn and/or damaged components, parts, etc.
including, but not limited to , damaged propellers/r otor blades, old batteries, etc.
Never operate your aircraft in poor or severe weather conditions including heavy winds, precipita-
tion, lightning, etc.
Always begin to operate your aircr aft with a fully charged battery. Always land as soon as possible
after the first level low voltage battery warning or land immediately af ter the second level low
voltage battery warning (as indicated by the vibrations and audible alerts from the transmitter/per-
sonal ground station).
Always operate your aircraft when the voltage of the battery in the transmitter/personal ground
station is in a safe range (as indicated by the ba ttery charge status icon on the screen of the
transmitter/personal ground sta tion).
Always keep the aircr aft in clear line of sight and under control, and keep the transmitter/personal
ground sta tion powered on while the aircr aft is powered on.
Always move the throttle control stick down fully and turn off the motors in the event the
propellers/rotor blades come into contact with any objects.
Always allow components and parts to cool after use before touching them and flying again.
Always remove batteries after use and store/transport them per the corresponding guidelines.
Avoid water exposur e to all electronic components, parts, etc. not specifically designed and
protected for use in water . Moisture causes damage to electronic components and parts.
Never place any portion of the aircraft or any r elated accessories, components or par ts in your
mouth as doing so could cause serious injury or even death.
Always keep chemicals, small par ts and electr onic components out of the r each of children.
Carefully follow the instructions and warnings included with this aircraft and any r elated accessories,
components or par ts (including, but not limited to , chargers, rechar geable bat teries, etc.).
CAUTION: The electronic speed controls (ESCs) installed in the TYPHOON H are not compatible
with any other product, and TYPHOON is not compatible with any other ESCs. Use of any other ESCs
in T YPHOON will cause a cr ash, which may result in damage to the product, property and/or cause
serious injury.
BA TTERY WARNINGS AND USAGE GUIDELINES
WARNING: Lithium P olymer (LiP o) batteries are significantly more volatile than alkaline, NiCd or
NiMH batteries. All instructions and warnings must be followed exactly to prevent pr operty damage
and/or serious injury as the mishandling of LiP o batteries can result in fire. By handling, char ging or
using the included LiP o battery you assume all risks associated with LiP o batteries. If you do not
agree with these conditions please return the complete product in new, unused condition to the
place of purchase immediately.
Y ou must always charge the LiP o ba ttery in a safe, well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
Never charge the LiP o battery unattended at any time. When charging the ba ttery you must always
remain in constant observation to monitor the char ging process and react immedia tely to any
potential problems that may occur .
After flying/discharging the LiP o battery you must allow it to cool to ambient/room temperature
before rechar ging.
T o charge the LiP o battery you must use only the included charger or a suitably compa tible LiP o
battery charger . F ailure to do so may r esult in a fire causing proper ty damage and/or serious injury.
If at any time the LiP o battery begins to balloon or swell, discontinue charging or discharging
immediately . Quickly and safely disconnect the bat tery, then place it in a safe, open ar ea away from
flammable materials to observe it for at least 15 minutes. Continuing to charge or discharge a
battery that has begun to balloon or swell can result in a fir e. A battery that has ballooned or swollen
even a small amount must be removed from service completely .
Do not over-discharge the LiP o battery. Discharging the battery too low can cause damage to the
battery r esulting in r educed power , flight dura tion or failur e of the battery entirely . LiP o cells should
not be dischar ged to below 3.0V each under load.
Store the LiP o battery at r oom temperature and in a dry ar ea for best results.
When charging, transporting or temporarily storing the LiP o battery the temper ature range should
be from approximately 40–120° F (5–49° C). Do not store the battery or aircraft in a hot garage, car
or direct sunlight. If stored in a hot garage or car the battery can be damaged or even catch fir e.
Never leave batteries, chargers and power supplies unat tended during use.
Never at tempt to char ge low voltage, ballooned/swollen, damaged or wet batteries.
Never allow childr en under 14 years of age to char ge bat teries.
Never charge a battery if any of the wire leads have been damaged or shorted.
Never at tempt to disassemble the bat tery, charger or power supply .
Never drop batteries, char gers or power supplies.
Always inspect the battery, charger and power supply befor e charging.
Always ensure correct polarity before connecting batteries, chargers and power supplies.
Always disconnect the battery after char ging.
Always terminate all processes if the ba ttery , charger or power supply malfunctions.
