16. Do not install the appliance near to curtains or upholstered furniture.

17. The appliance must not leave unattended during cooking.
18. After use, always switch off the appliance as described in this
manual.
19. If any cracks occur on the glass-ceramic, switch off the appliance
and disconnect it from the mains (fuse box). RISK OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK!
20. Cooker-hoods should be installed according to their manufacturers'
instructions.
21. The safety distance between the hob and a wall cupboard above
should be at least 760 mm.
22. The safety distance between the hob and an extractor hood above
should be at least 760 mm.
23. Do not store any objects on the hob. RISK OF FIRE!
24. Do not leave cookware with prepared dishes based on fats and oils
unattended on an operating cooking zone; hot fat can spontaneously
catch fire.
25. Unattended cooking with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result
in fire. NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the
appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.
26. Never touch the cooking zones while the residual heat indicator is
still on. RISK OF BURNS!
27. The accessible parts of the hob become hot during operation, so
keep children away from the operating appliance. Touching the
appliance while it is operating can cause serious burns.
28. Do not fry in the appliance. Hot oil can damage parts of the appliance
and result in skin-burns.
29. In order to reduce any risk of fire in the appliance:
a. Check the appliance frequently.
b. Switch off or unplug the appliance if you notice any smoke.
Keep the appliance closed to stifle any flames.
c. Do not use the appliance to store anything inside.
d. Do not leave any items, e.g. paper, cooking utensils or food,
inside the appliance even when it is not running.
30. The appliance must not leave unattended during the pyrolytic self-
cleaning process.
31. If you want to use the pyrolytic self-cleaning programme, it is
absolutely necessary to observe the relevant safety instructions
and safety information given in chapter 4.5 PYROLYTIC SELF-
CLEANING PROGRAMME.
32. If the seal of the oven door is damaged, you must not use the oven.
