6. Getting started
•
The battery compartment is in the inside of the handle.
•
Open the battery compartment (see mark) and remove the insulation strip.
•
The unit is ready for use.
7. Use
•
Place the scale with the empty measuring cup on a flat surface.
•
Press Ø button to activate the instrument.
•
All LCD segments will light up for about a few seconds.
a) Weight
•
Choose “SCALE” with the m button.
•
Choose the weight unit (grams or oz) with the u button.
b) Volume measurement
•
Select with the m button the ingredients and with the u button the weight unit.
WTR = water (Weight unit = ml, fl.oz or cups)
MLK = milk (Weight unit = ml, fl.oz or cups)
OIL = oil (Weight unit = ml, fl.oz or cups

Unauthorised repairs, modifications or changes to the product are prohibited.
•
The product is not be used for medical purpose or for public information, but is intended
only for home use.
Caution!
Risk of injury:

Keep this instrument and the battery out of reach of children.
•
Batteries must not be thrown into the fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of
explosion!
•
Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. If a battery has been swallowed, get medical assistance
immediately.
•
Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to pre-
vent damage caused by a leaking battery.
•
Remove the battery if you do not use the product for a lengthy period.
•
Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and glasses when handling leaked batteries.
Important information on product safety!
•
Do not expose the instrument to extreme temperatures, vibration or shock.
•
Do not immerse the base with handle into water. Water can penetrate and cause malfunc-
tion. Not suitable for dishwasher.
•
Keep away the scale from heat sources (like: stoves).
•
Do not overload the scale (max. 3 kg).
