Sensor mode
1) Switch light 'ON' (when light is 'OFF'):
Switch 'OFF' and 'ON' once.
Light stays 'ON' for the period selected.
2) Switch light 'OFF' (when light is 'ON'):
Switch 'OFF' and 'ON' once.
Light goes out or switches to sensor mode.
Manual override function
5 sec. – 15 min.
1 x OFF/ON
Manual override
1) Activate manual override:
Turn switch 'OFF' and 'ON' twice. The sensor
is set to stay 'ON' for 4 hours (red LED lights
up behind the lens). Then it returns automati-
cally to sensor mode (red LED 'OFF').
2) Deactivate manual override:
Switch 'OFF' and 'ON' once. Light goes out or
switches to sensor mode.
4 hours
2 x OFF/ON
If a mains switch is installed in the mains supply
lead, the light is capable of the following func-
tions in addition to the simple 'ON'/'OFF' func-
tion:
Important: The switch should be actuated in
rapid succession (in the 0.5 – 1 sec. range).

Once you have connected the unit to the
mains power supply, closed the unit and fitted
the lens, you are ready to put the system into
operation. Two setting options are concealed
behind the decorative faceplate.
Important: Only select time and twilight
setting with the lens in place.
Functions
Teach mode:
At the light level at which you want the sensor
to respond to movement, the control should
be set to . After 10 sec. the value of the
ambient brightness is saved.
Dazzle guard
This product is equipped with an integrated
dazzle guard. If blinded by extraneous light,
this puts the sensor into a brightness-related
evaluation mode for 60 sec. (see Trouble-
shooting).
(factory setting:
daylight operation
2000 lux)
Twilight setting (response threshold)
2 – 2000 lux
(factory setting:
approx. 5 sec.)
Time setting (switch-'OFF' delay)
5 sec. – 15 min.
The chosen duration of illumination of the con-
nected lamp is infinitely adjustable between
approx. 5 sec. to a max. of 15 min. (The mo-
tion detector leaves the factory set to the
shortest time.) Any movement detected before
this time elapses will re-start the timer.
Pulse function
The pulse function activates the output for
2 sec. (e.g. for staircase lighting time switches).
The chosen sensor response threshold is infi-
nitely adjustable from approx. 2 lux - 2000 lux.
Turn control fully anticlockwise to select night-
time operation at about 2 lux. Turn control fully
clockwise to select teach mode, shortly before
this position means daylight operation at about
2000 lux. (The light leaves the factory set to
daylight operation.)

Several sensors connected in parallel
(not illustrated)
In this case, it is important not to exceed
a sensor's maximum connected rating.
In addition, all units must be connected to
the same phase.
Connection examples
The infrared sensor is suitable for switching
'ON' light automatically. The unit is not suitable
for burglar alarm systems as it is not tamper-
proof in the manner prescribed for such sys-
tems. Weather conditions may affect the way
the motion detector works. Strong gusts of
wind, snow, rain or hail may cause the light to
come 'ON' when it is not wanted because the
sensor is unable to distinguish sudden
changes of temperature from sources of heat.
The detector lens may be cleaned with a damp
cloth if it gets dirty (do not use cleaning
agents).
