Cleaning the mixing jug
CAUTION: The blades of the blade assembly are sharp. Handle the blade assembly with care and do not use
force, in order to avoid cutting yourself or damaging the blade assembly.
1. Completely empty the mixing jug and rinse away loosely sticking food with plain water.
2. Place the jug on the blender base and lock it onto the holder.
3. Now add warm washing-up liquid solution to the jug. This must cover the blades. Replace the lid and run the
blender for a few seconds at speed 1.
4. Switch off the blender and wait until the blades have stopped. Turn the jug anticlockwise and remove it from
the blender base.
5. Unplug the power cord from the socket.
6. Remove the lid from the jug and pour out the washing-up solution. Sticky food remains on the sides of the
jug can be removed with a plastic dishwasher brush.
CAUTION: Work very carefully in the area of the blade assembly, in order to avoid cutting yourself or
damaging the blade assembly.
Important: In most cases this is sufficient to clean the mixing jug hygienically. However, if remains of food
are still stuck to the blade assembly at the bottom of the jug, disassemble the jug and clean the components
separately. Follow the instructions on page 43. (Disassemble the mixing jug, and remove persistent remains
of food.)
7. Clean the lid and jug in a warm washing up liquid solution.
8. Rinse the jug, lid, and measuring beaker with clean water, carefully dry the parts with a drying up cloth and
leave them to dry where young children cannot reach them.
9. After drying, replace the lid and measuring beaker, and lock the mixing jug onto the blender base.
