Avoid shocks and great di erences in –
temperature.
Do not stir in the jug, for example with a –
metal spoon.
Do not use hard brushes or abrasive –
cleaning agents.
Do not wipe the inside with a cloth. Dust –
particles may cut the glass (similar to a
glass-cutter).
Do not wash in a dishwasher. –
Do not use in a microwave oven. –
Descaling
To keep the co ee maker in excellent z
working order, we recommend that you
descale the appliance at regular intervals.
Descaling is required when the  ltering z
process takes longer than normal, or if
the appliance becomes noisy during
operation.
To avoid damage caused by the build-up z
of deposits, descale the appliance a er
thirty to forty operations. We recommend
using vinegar for descaling.
Add two to three tablespoons of vinegar –
essence to the maximum amount of cold
water.
Pour this mixture into the water reservoir. –
Place a paper  lter into the  lter holder
(without ground co ee) and operate
the appliance as described in section To
prepare  lter co ee. Repeat the descaling
process if necessary. Ventilate the room
during the descaling process and do not
breathe in the vinegar vapours.
To cleanse the appliance a er descaling, –
operate it a further three times with cold
fresh water only (without using ground
co ee).
Do not pour descalers into enamelled –
sinks.
Cleaning and care
Remove the plug from the wall socket z
and allow the appliance to cool before
cleaning.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, never z
immerse the co ee maker in water. Wipe
the co ee maker with a clean damp cloth
and dry a erwards.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners. z
Remove the paper  lter with the used –
grounds and clean the  lter holder in
warm soapy water.
Co ee maker with glass jug:
Clean the glass jug in warm soapy water –
and dry a erwards.
Glass jug and jug lid are dishwasher safe. –
Every time the co ee maker is used, z
ensure that the handle of the glass carafe is
properly and securely  tted. If necessary,
the metal ring may be tightened by means
of the screw in the handle.

ee maker with vacuum jug:

t dismantle the jug, do not wash in –
a dishwasher and do not immerse it in
water.
Rinse the inside of the jug with water and –
wipe the outside with a clean damp cloth
a er use.
To remove co ee deposits from the inside –
of the vacuum jug,  ll the jug with hot
water and add a tablespoon of dishwasher
detergent. Close the screw cap and
leave the jug for some hours. Rinse out
thoroughly with water a erwards.
To clean the drip-through lid, place it on –
the jug and allow the water or cleaning
solution (a er it has cleaned out the jug
itself) to pass out through the lid.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective
appliances in domestic garbage;
this should only be done through
public collection points.
Guarantee
is product is guaranteed against defects
in materials and workmanship for a period
of two years from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee the manufacturer
undertakes to repair or replace any parts
found to be defective, providing the product
