Exporting movies to disc
MoviePlus can export your project directly to disc, producing a movie which
will play on your TV, computer, or other DVD-equipped device. You can
create your own easy-to-navigate disc menus based on one of an impressive
array of templates—all easily modifiable to suit your taste.
By default, MoviePlus will use your project settings for export, although you
can switch to an Advanced mode to alter these settings specifically for export.
For DVD export, Dolby® Digital is used for audio encoding.
Disc settings
For some projects, discs can be created using settings which match your
MoviePlus project settings directly (i.e., PAL DVD and their variants).
However, some projects do not write transparently because their project
settings (e.g., frame height, frame rate and/or pixel aspect ratio) are
incompatible with MoviePlus's intended disc settings. These include not only
DV projects, but custom projects possessing unusual dimensions or other
characteristics. As a result, MoviePlus will determine the most appropriate
disc settings from the project settings to "massage" the project into an export
format suitable for disc creation. This best-matching process is done
automatically. You can make alterations to the disc setting, such as the
swapping the video standard or media type if necessary.
