Effect of selecting the criterion:
•"Design suggestions" window on the "PV plant" page when selecting [Design suggestions]:
– In the "Part project name" tab, the design suggestions that correspond the most with the
criterion are displayed at the top.
– In the "PV array name" tab, the colour designations show the extent to which the inverter
fulfils the selected criterion (see Section 4.10""Design Suggestions" Window",page40).
• Automatic design on the "PV plant" page when selecting [Design automatically]:
– Sunny Design selects a design that corresponds the most with the selected criterion.
1. Select Tools > Change settings.
2. Select "Design" area.
3. In the "Criteria for sorting design suggestions" area, select the desired option.
4. Select [OK].
6.10 Activate the Update of the Design Suggestions After Selecting
the Inverter
1. Select Tools > Change settings.
2. Select "Design" area.
3. In the "Design suggestions" area, activate the check-box Refresh design suggestions after
selection of the inverter.
4. Select [OK].
6.11 Change Specification for Calculation of Design Suggestions
You can set whether Sunny Design should calculate the most common combination possibilities and
check them as a suitable design for the part project or other combination possibilities. This gives you
the choice between a fast calculation and a calculation that allows Sunny Design to calculate design
suggestions of better quality. The calculation duration depends on the size and number of PV arrays,
the inverter in question and the selected specification for the calculation.
The following specifications are possible:
•Faster calculation (selected suggestions)
• Balanced
• Better suggestions (more calculating time)
1. Select Tools > Change settings.
2. Select "Design" area.
3. In the "Design suggestions" area, select the desired specification in the drop-down list
"Specifications for the calculation of design suggestions".
4. Select [OK].
