5.5 Design Comparison
5.5.1 Compare Designs
In Sunny Design, you can compare design suggestions for a part project with one another. Design
suggestions that you select for the comparison are displayed and saved in the comparison list. You
can also adopt and compare design suggestions from various part projects in the comparison list.
Requirements:
☐ All PV arrays in the part project have to be configured in the part project (see Section 5.4.4).
1. Select the desired part project in the project tree.
☑The "PV plant" page opens for the selected part project.
2. Select [Design suggestions] in any "PV array name" tab.
☑The "Design suggestions" window opens.
3. In the "Design suggestions" window, select the "Part project name" tab.
4. In the column "Compare", activate the check-box for the design suggestions to be compared.
5. Select [Compare designs].
☑The "Design comparison" window opens. All the design variants selected for the comparison
are displayed. In the project tree, the design variants are also displayed if this view has been
activated (see Section 6.5"Change View of Design Variants in the Project Tree",page62).
6. To delete a design variant from the comparison list, select [x] beside the name of the design
variant.
7. To adopt a design variant from the comparison list as a design for the currently selected part
project:
• Select the desired design variant. Here, the selected design variant is highlighted in orange.
•Select [Adopt design]. Tip: You can also add the desired design variant by double-clicking it.
☑ The design is added in the project tree. The window "Design comparison" closes.
5.5.2 Adopt Design from Project Tree in Comparison List
You can adopt a design for a part project from the project tree in the comparison list.
• In the project tree, select the desired part project by right clicking it and select "Adopt design in
the comparison list" in the context menu.
☑ The part project is copied and saved as a design variant.
