5 GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow all warnings and instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference. The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains operated (corded)
power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.
5.1 Work area
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
5.2 Electrical safety
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the
rating plate.
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled
cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
5.3 Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used whenever conditions require
will reduce personal injuries.
Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before plugging in.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have
the switch on invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.

If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure
these are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust related
hazards.
5.4 Power tool use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous
in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or sticking of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have
the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to stick and are easier to control.
Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions
and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from intended could lead to a hazardous situation.
5.5 Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
6 SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS
Check that the maximum speed indicated on the grinding disc corresponds to the
maximum speed of the machine. The speed of the machine must not exceed the value on
the grinding disc.
Make sure that the dimensions of the grinding disc correspond to the specifications of the
machine.
Make sure that the grinding disc has been mounted and fastened properly. Do not use
reducing rings or adapters to make the grinding disc fit properly.
Treat and store grinding discs in conformance with the supplier’s instructions.
Do not use the machine for grinding workpieces with a maximum thickness exceeding the
maximum grinding depth of the grinding disc.
Do not use grinding discs for deburring.
When grinding discs have to be mounted on the thread of the spindle, make sure that the
spindle has sufficient thread. Make sure that the spindle is sufficiently protected and does
not touch the grinding surface.
Before use, inspect the grinding disc for any damage. Do not use grinding discs which are
cracked, ripped or otherwise damaged.
Before use, let the machine run idle for 30 seconds.
Immediately switch off the machine in case of abnormal vibrations or occurrence of
another defect. Carefully inspect the machine and grinding disc before switching the

and when they are required.
If a guard is supplied with the tool never use the tool without such a guard.
For tools intended to be fitted with threaded hole wheel, ensure that the thread in the
wheel is long enough to accept the spindle length.
Ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear when working in dusty conditions. If it
should become nessesary to clear dust, first disconnect the tool from the mains supply
(use non metallic objects) and avoid damaging internal parts.
Though poor conditions of the electrical mains, shortly voltage drops can appear when
starting the equipment. This can influence other equipment (eq. blinking of a lamp). If the
mains-impedance Zmax <0.348 Ohm, such disturbances are not expected. (In case of
need, you may contact your local supply authority for further information.
6.1 Additional safety instructions
Do not use the tool on light metal with a magnesium content exceeding
80%, as this type of metal is flammable.
The work head may continue rotating after the tool is turned off.
On the upper side of the tool there is a spindle-lock button. Do not press
the spindle-lock button while the tool is running.
Make sure that the accessories used are suitable for the maximum speed stated in the

8 CHAINSAW SHARPENING ATTACHMENT KIT (FIG. B)
8.1 Assembly of chainsaw sharpening attachment
Depending on your particular chain saw, make sure your assemble your new sharpener
properly as follows:
Refer to the drawing below for the correct grinding stone.
When you have determined the correct grinding stone for your chain from the drawing,
assemble the attachment by screwing the guide (B) and appropriate number of spaces (C)
to the clamp (D) using the two screws (A), as shown in the figure 1.
i. If using the 5,5mm (pink) grinding stone, assemble both
spacers between the guide and the clamp.
ii. If using the 4,8mm (orange) grinding stone, assemble both
spacers between the guide and the clamp.
iii. If using the 4,0mm (bleu) grinding stone, no spacers are
needed.
iv. If using the 4,5mm (white) grinding stone, assemble 1 spacer
between the guide and the clamps.
Securely mount the correct grinding stone in your tool with approximately 6,35mm of the
shank exposed between the chuck cap and the stone (figure 2).
Remove the housing cap and screw on the chainsaw sharpening attachment (Figure .3)
Using the appropriate side of the gauge €, adjust the guide so it is properly positioned with
respect to the grinding stone and tighten the screws. The gauge must be flush with the
corner(G) of the guide while making contact with the grinding stone (figure 4).

8.2 Sharpening the chain
Set your saw on a flat, solid surface. For proper sharpening the chain tension should be
adjusted (as specified in the chainsaw instruction manual). Sharpening will be best
accomplished if done on the flat of the saw bar somewhere near the middle of the bar.
Position the saw so that you are looking at the side of the chain bar with the motor to your
right. Cutter teeth on the far side of the chain are sharpened, from inside to outside as
shown in figure 5. Lay the guide (B) flat on the tooth with the 30° index line (L) parallel
with the chain. Align the index line with the chain. Two or three light strokes are usually
enough unless the cutters have been damaged. Sharpen all cutters equal. Start with the
cutter with the most visual damage (i.e. nicks or gouges) and sharpen all cutters equally.
Do not remove excessive material as this only shorten the life of the chain.
Sharpen cutter teeth (J) only, not the depth gauge (K)
When all of the teeth on the top of the bar have been sharpened, advance the chain using
a glove or a rag by pulling the chain toward the end of the bar. Repeat until all the teeth
on the far side of the chain have been sharpened.
Turn the saw around so you are looking at the side of the chain bar with the motor to your
left. Sharpen the cutter teeth on the far side of the chain, from inside to outside, or away
from you (figure 6). Lay the guide flat on the tooth with the 30° index line parallel with the
chain. Repeat the process above to sharpen all of the cutter teeth on the far side of the
chain.
After your chain has been sharpened a number of times, you may fin that it does not cut
as fast as you feel it should. Each cutter on your chain has a depth gauge (K) just ahead
of the cutting edge (J) that determines how big a bite it can take. To check for proper
depth of the cut, lay a metal straight edge across the tops of the cutting edges (Figure 7),
and check the dimension indicated. This dimension should be approximately equal to the
thickness of the gauge (K). if it is not, grind the chain depth gauge until the clearance is
approximately equal to the thickness of the sharpening kit gauge. Be careful to maintain
its shape. Do not remove more material. Houd de instelling van de dieptemaat gelijk bij
alle zaagtanden, om rechte zaagsneden te kunnen maken.
9 OPERATION
9.1 On / off switch (Pic. 3)
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the
rating plate.
Turning on: Turn the power button to position I
Turning off:Turn the power button to position O
9.2 Setting the speed (Pic. 4)
The multi tool speed is continuously adjustable. Always start from the lowest speed and
then increase the speed to the desired level.
“+” denotes the higher speed
-” denotes the lower speed
