1 Press [OPEN/CLOSE ;] to open the tray.
The unit comes on automatically.
2 Insert the CD.
Set a CD label up on the tray.
Press [OPEN/CLOSE ;
] to close the tray.
If “CD” is selected as the source, the message “TOC Reading”
appears on the display then the total number of tracks and total
play time are displayed.
If “CD” is not selected as the source, you can see this information
by pressing [CD q
/h] and then [STOP g].
3 Press [CD q/h] to start play.
4 Adjust the volume.
To stop the disc
Press [STOP g].
To pause play
Press [CD q/h]. Press [CD q/h] again to resume play.
Skipping tracks
Press [REW/u/2] (backward) or [1/i/FF] (forward).
Searching through tracks
During play or pause
Press and hold [REW/u
/2] (backward) or [1/i/FF] (forward).
One touch play
When a CD is loaded and the unit is off, press [CD q/h]. The unit comes
on and starts play.
To remove a CD
Press [OPEN/CLOSE ;].

There are 16 or more tracks on the disc.
Relay play
Plays in the order CD, MD, TAPE.
While stopped
Press and hold [CD q
/h] until “RELAY” appears.
To cancel
Press [STOP g
].
During relay play
¡ CD and MD repeat modes are canceled (

pages 15 and 31).
¡ CDs and MDs play in the selected play mode (program, random,
1-song or 1-group

pages 14, 15 and 31).
¡ Tape reverse mode switches to “/” if it was set to “$”
(

page 16).
