INTRODUCTION
The Blue Voice is a Bluetooth
®
handsfree carkit with TEXT-TO-SPEECH technology:
• Users’ handlings are confi rmed by a vocal menu.
• A voice announces the caller’s name or number.
Follow these steps when you use the Blue Voice for the 1st time:
• Place the battery.
• Charge the battery.
• Set the device ON (3).
• Choose / select language (8).
The Blue Voice can be programmed into 5 different languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish
(see parts & functions (8) +/- buttons: to choose a language).
• Pair the mobile phone to the Blue Voice (3).
• Send the phonebook memory to the Blue Voice.

1. Battery compartment cover
Open the battery compartment and place the battery (see illustration III).
2. USB charging socket (Charging the battery)
The Blue Voice offers 2 charging options:
1. USB cable (14).
2. Cigarette lighter (13).
Make sure that the Blue Voice is fully charged before using the device.
3. On/Off button (Turning on / Turning off / Pairing / Switching calls from Blue Voice to mobile phone)
Turning on: Press and hold the On/Off button (3) until you hear “power on” and the blue LED indicator (5) starts
fl ashing.
Turning off: Press and hold the On/Off button (3) until you hear “power off” and the red LED indicator (5) lights
up briefl y before turning off again.
Attention!
The Blue Voice will also turn off automatically if there has been no Bluetooth
®
connection between the
Blue Voice and another mobile device for more than 10 minutes.
- • Pairing: Make sure that the Blue Voice is turned off (LED indicator = off). Make sure that the
Bluetooth
®
function of your mobile phone is turned on and let your phone search for Bluetooth
®
devices.
Press and hold the On/Off button (3) of the Blue Voice until the LED indicator (5) starts fl ashing by blue
and
red colours alternately. Your mobile phone, which is still in search mode, will show the Blue Voice in the
list of found Bluetooth
®
devices. Select the Blue Voice in your mobile phone and enter the PIN code 0000
to pair both devices. You will hear “pairing phone, please put your phone in pairing mode and enter PIN
code 0000”. The blue LED indicator (5) will start fl ashing again. You will hear “pairing successful”.
- Switching from Blue Voice to mobile phone: During a conversation, press the On/Off button (3) once to
continue the conversation through your mobile phone.
To continue the conversation through the Blue Voice, press the central button (4).
4. Central button
- Incoming call: Press 1x to answer a call. You will hear “call from”.
- Incoming call: Press and hold (3 sec.) to reject a call. You will hear “reject call succesful”.
- During a conversation: Press 1x to end a call. You will hear “end call”.
- Standby mode: Press 1x to restore the Bluetooth
®
connection after it has been broken.
- Standby mode: Press 1x to activate voice dialing.
Attention!
The voice dialing function is only available if it is supported by your mobile phone.
- Standby mode: Press quickly 2x to redial the last dialed number. You will hear “redialing”.
- During a conversation: when you hear a “beep”’ (= 2
nd
call) press 1x to answer this call and to put the current
call on hold.
- During a conversation: press & hold (3 sec.) to switch between 2 calls.
- During a 2
nd
call: press 1x to end 1 of the 2 calls.
Attention!
Some phones do not support this Bluetooth
®
function or need confi rmation through the mobile phone
menu!
5. LED indicator
- Red indicator:
• Flashes in Standby mode: low battery capacity.
• Lights continuously while charging the battery.
• Lights continuously in mute mode.
- Blue indicator:
• Flashes in Standby mode.
• Lights continuously in privacy mode.
- Red & Blue indicators:
• Flashes alternately in pairing mode.
6. Microphone
Make sure that the microphone is directed towards your mouth. For optimum performance, the microphone
should be located at a distance of 30-50 cm from
the drivers’ mouth. Make sure that there are no obstacles in
front of the microphone of the Blue Voice.

8. (+) and (-) Volume buttons
- Press (+) to increase the volume level.
- Press (-) to decrease the volume level.
- Press (-) for 3 sec. to set the TTS (= Text-To-Speech) function ON or OFF.
- Press (+) for 3 sec. to activate language selection. You will hear “select this language”, “sélectionner la
langue”, “sprache auswählen”, “seleziona la lingua”, “seleccionar lengua”.
- Press (+) & (-) for 3 sec. to delete the phonebook memory.
You will hear “phonebook deleted”.
- Press and hold (+) & (-) for 10 sec. to restore default settings.
You will hear “phonebook deleted
”. Press and hold (+) & (-) once again for 3 sec. You will hear “
set factory
default complete
”.
9. MODE-button (Activate privacy & mute mode)
- Activate privacy mode: Press 1x briefl y during a conversation.
Hold the speakerphone against your ear and use the Blue Voice as a normal phone (see illustration V).
- Deactivate privacy mode: Press 1x briefl y.
- Turn on mute mode: During a conversation, press and hold for 3 sec. to temporarily turn off the microphone of
the Blue Voice. The red LED indicator (5) will light.
- Turn off mute mode: Press and hold for 3 sec. The blue LED indicator (5) will light and starts fl ashing.
- Sending phonebook memory to your Blue Voice: When you receive a call, the Blue Voice will pronounce the
caller’s name.
The Blue Voice will only pronounce the caller’s name if this name was also saved into your mobile phone’s phonebook
memory and copied to the carkit’s memory. If not, the unit will only pronounce the incoming number (without the name)!
You can do this in 2 different ways
:
1. Via your mobile phone by Bluetooth
®
/OPP technology (Some mobile phones describe this feature
as ‘send business card’)
In this case, it’s the mobile phone that sends the contact person’s data to the Blue Voice. This means that you
need to select the contact person’s data on your mobile phone in order to send these to your Blue Voice.
How to proceed:
Step 1: on the Blue Voice, activation ‘Bluetooth
®
/OPP’ mode.
Make sure that the Blue Voice is paired with your mobile phone.•
Press and hold the Mode button (9) for 6 sec.•
You will hear: ‘• Disconnect complete’ and the LED indicator (5) turns blue = OPP mode activated.(*)
Step 2: on the mobile phone.
Select the contacts that you would like to copy to the Blue Voice (depending which type of mobile •
phone you have, you can send your phonebook in total or you need to send the contacts one by
one. (Please refer to the manual of your mobile phone for more detailed information).
Copy the contacts via Bluetooth•
®
to the Blue Voice (**).
As soon as the contacts are saved into the Blue Voice, you will hear: ‘• Contact(s) saved’ (***).
Step 3: on the Blue Voice.
Press the Central button (1) once to re-activate the Bluetooth•
®
connection. You will hear: ‘Phone is
ready for use’.
(*) The Blue Voice and the mobile phone will automatically disconnect.
(**) Some mobile phones describe this function as ‘send business card’.
(***) This can take several minutes. (Depending on which type of mobile phone you have and the size of
your phonebook, this could take more than 10 minutes).
2. Via
the handsfree carkit (Blue Voice) by Bluetooth
®
(this specifi c Bluetooth
®
function is not
supported by every mobile phone!)
In this case, it is the Blue Voice itself that retrieves the contacts from your mobile phone via Bluetooth
®
.
How to proceed:
Step 1: on the Blue Voice
Make sure that the Blue Voice is paired with your mobile phone.•
Press and hold the Mode button (9) for 3 seconds.•
You will hear: “• Phonebook deleted” and the blue LED indicator (5) will light continuously (= Blue
Voice starts copying the contacts).
As soon as the contacts are saved into the Blue Voice, you will hear: ‘• Contact(s) saved’ (*).
(*) This can take several minutes. (Depending on which type of mobile phone you have and the size of
your phonebook, this could take more than 10 minutes).
