In order t o use the Caller ID features, you mus t
subscribe to either the standar d Name/Number
Caller ID Service or Caller ID with Call W aiting
Service. T o know who is calling while y ou are on the
phone, y ou must subscribe to Caller ID with Call
W aiting service.
When the unit rec eives an incoming call with CID
information, the CID can be sho wn on the handsets.
This unit rec eives and display s information
transmitt ed by your local phone c ompany . This
information can include the phone number , date and
time; or the name, phone number , date and time.
If two inc oming calls come in at the same time, the
line 1 and Iine 2 caller information sho ws on the
display separ ately while ringing.
The unit can st ore up to 99 rec ords. When the
memory is full, a new call aut omatically replaces the
oldest call in memory .

warr ants that this Motorola br anded product
(“Product”) or certified ac cessory (“ Acc essory”) sold
for use with this product tha t it manufactured to
be free fr om defects in materials and workmanship
under normal consumer usage for the period
outlined below . This Limited W arranty is your
ex clusive w arranty and is not transfer able.
Who is co vered?
This warr anty extends only t o the first consumer
purchaser , and is not transferable.
What will MZ GW do ?
MZ GW or its authorized distributor at its option and
within a commer cially reasonable time, will at no
charge r epair or replace any Pr oducts or Acces sories
that do not conform t o this limited warranty . W e
may use functionally equiv alent reconditioned
/ refurbished / pr e-owned or new Pr oducts,
Ac cessories or parts.
What Other Limitations Are T here?

Exclusions

Batteries. Only batt eries whose fully charged
capacity falls belo w 80% of their rated capacity and
batteries that leak ar e cov ered by this
limited warr anty .
Abuse & Misuse. Defects or damage that r esult from:
(a) improper operation, s torage, misuse or abuse,
accident or neglect, such as phy sical damage
(cr acks, scrat ches, etc.) to the surface of the
product r esulting from misuse;
(b) contact with liquid, wa ter , rain, e xtreme
humidity or heavy perspir ation, sand, dirt or
the like, e xtreme heat, or food;
(c ) use of the Products or Ac cessories for
commer cial purposes or subjecting the
Product or A ccessory to abnormal usage or
conditions; or
(d) other acts which are not the f ault of Motorola
or MZ GW are e xcluded from c over age.
Use of Non-Motorola br anded Products and
Ac cessories. Defects or damage that result fr om the
use of Non-Motor ola branded or certified Products
or Ac cessories or other peripheral equipment ar e
ex cluded from co ver age.
Unauthorized Service or Modification. Def ects or
damages resulting fr om service, testing, adjustment,
installation, maintenanc e, alteration, or modification
in any wa y by someone other than Motor ola, MZGW
or its authorized service c enters, are e xcluded from
co verage .
Altered Pr oducts. Products or Ac cessories with:
(a) serial numbers or date tags that hav e been
remo ved, alter ed or obliterat ed;
(b) brok en seals or that show evidenc e of
tampering;
(c ) mismatched board serial numbers; or
(d) nonconforming or non-Mot orola branded
housings, or parts, are e xcluded fr om
co verage .
Communication Services. Def ects, damages, or
the failur e of Products or Acc essories due to any
communication service or signal y ou may subscribe
to or use with the Pr oducts or Accessories is
ex cluded from co ver age.

Information ?

Y ou will rec eive instructions on how t o ship the
Products or A ccessories at y our expense and risk, to
a MZ GW Authorized Repair Cent er .
T o obtain service, you mus t include:
(a) the Product or Ac cessory;
(b) the original proof of pur chase (receipt) which
includes the date, plac e and seller of the
Product;
(c ) if a warranty car d was included in your bo x, a
completed w arranty card sho wing the serial
number of the Product;
(d) a written description of the pr oblem; and,
most importantly;
(e ) your addr ess and telephone number .

8.6 Swit ching Between the Speakerphone ,
Handset, and Headset Mode
1. T o switch to the speak erphone mode, press s .
2. If the headset is plugged in, press t t o switch
to headset.
Or , if the headset is not plugged in, press t to
switch t o the handset receiv er mode.
8.7 Mut e
T o have a priv ate, o-line con versation, use the
Mute featur e. The party on the other end of the line
cannot hear you, but y ou can still hear them.
1. During a call, press Mut e/Del. to activat e the
Mute featur e.
2. Press Mut e/Del. again to de-activat e.
8.8 Auto Standb y
If you plac e the handset in the charging cradle while
the handset is o the hook (during a call), the call is
automatically disconnect ed.
8.9 Do Not Disturb
This featur e will disable your telephone’ s ringer for
a set period of time to pr event inc oming calls from
interrupting. When an inc oming call or intercom call
occurs, the status indica tors will light up but the
phone will not ring.

If you subscribe t o Call W aiting Caller ID service
from y our local telephone company and y ou receiv e
an incoming call during a call, y ou will hear a beep
to indicate another call is w aiting on the line and
Caller ID information (if av ailable) for the w aiting call

1. T o connect to the waiting call, pr ess Menu/Flash
and your firs t call will be put on hold.
2. T o switch between the tw o calls, press
Menu/Flash.
8. 12 Inserting a Pause in the Dialing
Sequence
Press j twic e to insert a delay in dialing sequence
when a pause is needed to wait f or a dial tone (for
ex ample, after you dial 9 f or an outside line, or to
wait for a c omputer access t one.) Each pause counts
as one digit in the dialing sequence, and is sho wn as

in the display .
