placedbetweenthebrowningdishandtheturntableto
prevent the turntable from overheating.
• Microwaveovenroastinglm.Usedparticularlyfor
soups,sauces,steweddishesorwhendefrosting
food.Canalsobeusedasaloosecoveringtoprevent
fat, etc. from spraying out into the oven compartment.
• Kitchenrollisideal,asitabsorbsmoistureandfat.
Forexample,baconcanbeplacedinlayers,with
kitchenrollbetweeneachlayer.Thebaconwillthen
becompletelycrispy,asitdoesnotsitinitsownfat.
Home-bakedbreadcanbetakendirectlyfromthe
freezer,wrappedinkitchenrollandheatedinthe
microwaveoven.
• Wetkitchenrollcanbeusedforshorvegetables.
Coveringthefoodpreventsitfromdryingout.
• Greaseproofpaper.Fish,largevegetables(such
ascauliower,cornonthecobandsimilar)canbe
wrappedinwetgreaseproofpaper.

However,theymustneverbeclosedusingmetalclips.
Cottonthreadshouldbeusedinstead.Prickthebag
withsmallholes,andplaceitinthemicrowaveoven
on a plate or glass dish.

• Whenusingthegrillfunctions,useONLYcontainers
suitable for use in conventional ovens.
• Whenusingthecombinationfunctions,useONLY
heat-resistantglassorceramicdishes,whichcanalso
beusedinamicrowaveoven.
Unsuitable utensils and materials
Whencookingfoodinamicrowaveoven,youmustNOT
usethefollowingutensilsandmaterials:
• Sealedglassjars/bottleswithsmallopenings,asthey
may explode.
• General-purposethermometers
• Silverfoil/foiltrays,asthemicrowaverayscannot
penetratethematerialandthefoodwillnotcook.
• Recycledpaper,asitmaycontainsmallmetalsplinters
thatcouldcausesparksand/orre.
• Closedtins/containerswithtightlysealedlids,as
excesspressuremaycausethetin/containerto
explode.
• Metalclipsandlids/lmcontainingmetallicthreads
sincetheycancausesparksinthemicrowaveoven
and must therefore be removed.
• Metalbowls/containersandpackaging,unlessthey
aredesignedspecicallyforuseinmicrowaveovens.
Themicrowavesarereectedandcannotpenetrate
the food through the metal.
• Plates,dishesandbowls/containerswithmetal,gold
andsilverdecorations.Theymaybreakand/orcause
sparks to form in the oven compartment.
CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to
thefollowing:
• Turnofftheapplianceandremovetheplugfromthe
wallsocketbeforecleaning.
• Cleantheappliancebywipingitwithadampcloth.A
little detergent can be added if the appliance is heavily
soiled.
• Neveruseascouringpadoranyformofstrongsolvent
or abrasive cleaning agent to clean the appliance, as
those may damage the inside and outside surfaces of
the appliance.
• Makesurethatnowatergetsintotheventholes.
• Thespindle,theturningringandtheoorofthe
appliance must be cleaned regularly so that the glass
turntable can move freely.
• Beawarethatleavinggreasyresidueand/orspills
on the glass turntable can cause it to overheat and
shatter.
• Washtheglassturntable,spindleandturningringin
warmwaterwithalittledetergent.
• Donotremovethemicaplate(5)fromtheinsideofthe
oven!
• Tip:Whentheappliancehasbeeninuseforsome
time,theovencompartmentcanbegintosmell.If
the smell is not dispersed by ordinary cleaning, place
afewlemonslicesinacupandcooktheminthe
microwaveovenatfullpowerfor2-3minutes.Thiswill
effectively disperse the smell.
BEFORE GOING TO A REPAIR CENTRE
Iftheappliancewillnotstart:
• Checkthattheplugiscorrectlyinplaceinthewall
socket.Ifthatisnotthecase,removetheplug,wait10
seconds and then plug it in again.
• Checkwhetherafusehasblownorwhethertherelay
hasbeenswitchedoff.Ifitisnotthat,youcancheck
thatthesocketitselfisworkingbyplugginginanother
device.
• Checkthattheovendoorisclosedproperly.Ifthis
is not the case, the automatic safety system via the
lockdowels(1)ensuresthattheappliancecannotbe
started.
• Checkwhetherthechildsafetylockisactivated(“OFF”
symbolappearsondisplay).Ifitis,deactivatethechild
safetylockbyholdingthe“Stop.Clear”buttondown
for 3 seconds.
• Checkthattheappliancehasbeenprogrammed
correctly.
Iftheappliancestilldoesnotwork,contactarepair
technician.
