recommend that you keep the instructions for
future reference, so that you can remind yourself
of the functions of the appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the appliance
• Incorrectuseoftheappliancemay
cause personal injury and damage to the
appliance.
• Usetheapplianceforitsintendedpurpose
only.Themanufacturerisnotresponsiblefor
any injury or damage resulting from incorrect
useorhandling(seealsoGuaranteeTerms).
• Donotuseanyaccessoriesotherthanthose
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Theappliancemayonlybeconnectedto
230V,50Hz.
• Theapplianceshouldnotbeswitchedon
unlessitisfullofoil.Ensurethatitisalways
filled with oil up to a level somewhere
between the minimum and maximum level
marks on the inside of the bowl.
• Avoidusingtheappliancefortoolonginone
go, as this can result in the oil overheating,
causing a fire.
• Neveraddwatertotheoil.Thisisextremely
dangerous and may cause the oil to spit
violently from the bowl!
• Avoidcontactwiththehotoil.
• Neverleavetheapplianceunattendedwhen
in use or when it is hot, and keep an eye on
children.
• Touchonlytheblackplastichandles;avoid
touching the other surfaces, as they can
become extremely hot.
• Alwayssetthetemperaturecontroltothe
lowest possible temperature, and unplug the
fryer as soon as you have finished cooking
the food.
• Waituntiltheappliancehascooleddown
completely before draining the oil out,
moving or cleaning the fryer or putting it
away.
• Alwaysusethecarryinghandlestomovethe
appliance.
• Theapplianceorthecordmustnotbe
immersed in water or any other liquid.
• Neverusetheappliancewithwethands.
• Makesuretheapplianceisalwaysclean
when it comes into contact with food.
• Thisapplianceisnotsuitableforcommercial
or outdoor use.
• Onlyusetheapplianceinadryandwell
ventilated room.
• Keeptheapplianceunderconstant
supervisionwhileinuse.Keepaneyeon
children in the vicinity of the appliance when
itisbeingused.Theapplianceisnotatoy.
• Theapplianceisnottobeusedbypersons
with reduced sensitivity, physical or mental
disabilities or persons who are unable to
use the appliance, unless supervised or
instructed by a person responsible for their
safety.
Positioning the appliance
• Placetheapplianceonaflat,leveland
stable surface.
• Alwaysplacetheapplianceatthebackofa
kitchen counter and at a safe distance from
flammable objects such as curtains, cloths
or similar.
• Donotcovertheappliance.
• Donotallowthecordtohangovertheedge
ofatable/counter,andkeepitawayfrom
the hot surfaces of the fryer and other hot
objects and naked flames.
Cord, plug and mains socket
• Checkregularlythatthecordandplugare
not damaged and do not use the appliance
if this is the case, or if the appliance has
been dropped or damaged in any other way.
Iftheappliance,cordorplugisdamaged,
the appliance must be inspected and, if
necessary,repairedbyanauthorizedrepair
engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock.
• Nevertrytorepairtheapplianceyourself.
• Checkthatitisnotpossibletopullortrip
over the appliance cord or any extension
cable.
• Removetheplugfromthesocketwhen
cleaning, or when the appliance is not in
use.
• Avoidpullingthecordwhenremovingthe
plugfromthesocket.Instead,holdtheplug.
• Donotrollthecorduporwinditaroundthe
appliance.
Important!
Ifafirestartsintheappliance,youmustnever
trytoputitoutwithwater!Instead,closethelid
and try to smother the flames with a damp cloth
or wet towel.
