CAUTION
Risk of injury if the door tips!
uTake good hold of the door.
uSet down the door carefully.
uUnscrew top bearing block Fig. 6 (3) (2x Torx® 20)
Fig. 6 (4) and lift off in upward direction.
uLift out the door and set aside.
4.3.2 Change freezer compartment door

uFold away cover of turn hinge Fig. 7 (15).
uUnscrew turn hinge Fig. 7 (15) together with compartment
door.
uUnscrew closing element Fig. 7 (16).
uClose the vacated holes with the accompanying stoppers

uFit closing element Fig. 8 (16).
uFit compartment door at the top.
uFit turn hinge Fig. 8 (15) and fold the cover.
4.3.3 Relocating the bearing components

uUnscrew fastening screws Fig. 9 (21).
uRemove the lower bearing block Fig. 9 (23), complete with
bearing bolt Fig. 9 (24), washer Fig. 9 (26) and adjustable
foot Fig. 9 (22).
uUnscrew the bearing bolt Fig. 9 (24), complete with
washer Fig. 9 (26), re-locate it into the mounting hole on
the opposite side of the bearing block and tighten again.
uCarefully remove the cover plate Fig. 9 (25) and re-locate
it to the other side.
uScrew on the lower bearing block Fig. 9 (23), complete
with bearing bolt Fig. 9 (24), washer Fig. 9 (26) and adjust‐
able foot Fig. 9 (22) to the new hinge side, with the help
of a cordless screwdriver if necessary, and tighten (with
4 Nm) once again.
4.3.4 Transferring the handle
uLift the stopper Fig. 10 (30) out of the door bearing bush
and transfer it.

uDetach door handle Fig. 10 (31), stoppers Fig. 10 (32) and
pressure plates Fig. 10 (33) plates and transfer to the
opposite side
uWhen fitting the pressure plates at the opposite side, pay
attention that they engage properly.
4.3.5 Fitting the lower door
uLower the door from above onto the bearing bolt
Fig. 9 (24).
uClose the door.
uInstall the upper bearing block Fig. 6 (3) on the new hinge
side and in the door.
uScrew in the upper bearing block tightly (with 4 Nm)
(2x Torx® 20) Fig. 6 (4). Use a cordless screwdriver if
necessary.
uSlide on the cover Fig. 6 (1) on the opposite side from the
outside and snap it into place.
uSlide on the cover Fig. 6 (2) on the opposite side from
above until it snaps into place.
uUnscrew the adjustable foot Fig. 9 (22) on the lower
bearing block Fig. 9 (23) until it touches the floor.

uInsert the spacer Fig. 11 (13) back under the right-hand
side of the door, as this is important for the stability of
the appliance.
WARNING
Danger of injury due to door falling out!
If the bearing parts are not screwed on tightly enough, the
door may fall out. This can result in serious injuries. In
addition, the door may not close with the result that the
appliance does not cool properly.
uScrew the bearing brackets on firmly with 4 Nm.
uCheck all screws and retighten them if necessary.
