Two outcomes are possible:
• All 3 places are found : the players move the Lantern
pawn one space on the path, towards the cottage.
Then the Guide switches what he or she thinks is the Wolves
tile with a Places tile of their choice which was not revealed
this turn. While doing so, they must say: “the wolves are
here”. During the switch, both tiles remain face-down. It's the
end of the turn.
Or
• One of the three players is wrong: the turn ends
immediately and the first Ogre tile is revealed then placed in
order to gradually reassemble the Ogre's image. If a player
reveals the Wolves tile while looking for the correct Places
tile, two Ogre tiles are revealed instead of just one. Of
course, the Lantern pawn does not advance.
Note: Tom Thumb and his brothers are so terrified that they
are trying as best they can to keep quiet. When a player is
choosing a tile, the others may not help him or her (unless a
White Pebbles token is used – see below). In case of “invo-
luntary” help from a player who is not the one choosing the
tile, an Ogre tile is turned face-up by the Guide.
