Safety instructions
• This espresso maker is solely designed to prepare espresso coffee in private households. Please only use the
espresso maker expressly for its designated application.
• Keep the espresso maker out of reach of children as long as it is in use.
• The espresso maker will become very hot when in use. Do not touch the hot surfaces as there is a risk of
injury. Please only take hold of the espresso maker by the handle and the knob of the lid, or use an oven
cloth or oven glove.
• When filling the lower part with water, always ensure that the water level never reaches the safety valve. The
valve must never be submerged in water, as this will lead to lime scale forming and consequently impair both
the functionality of the valve and impair safety.
• When opening the safety valve, it is possible that hot steam will gush out. Always ensure that the valve is never
pointed at the user.
• Always ensure that the espresso maker has been properly assembled and closed tight before use.
• Do not unscrew the espresso maker until it has been removed from the hot plate and has cooled down. Do
not open the lid until the bubbling has stopped.
• Never use the espresso maker without first pouring water into the lower part. Remove the espresso maker
from the heat source as soon as the espresso has flowed into the upper part.
• Never allow the espresso maker to boil dry. This can damage the structure of the metal and compromise your
safety the next time the espresso maker is used.
