FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The coffee tastes bad. Coffee maker needs descaling. Descale the coffee maker.
Ground coffee not suitable for
filter coffee makers.
Use filter coffee.

Poor quality water. Use filtered or bottled water.
The lid of the filter holder does
not close properly.
Filter holder incorrectly inserted. Check that the filter holder is correctly in
place.
The frothing function does not
work.
Frothing tool blocked. Clean the frothing accessory see
paragraph CLEANING THE MILK
FROTHER.
The milk jug is not locked into
position.
Unlock, remove and replace the milk jug.
Relock it.
The two milk buttons are flas-
hing.
The heating control device is
faulty.
Contact the service centre in your
country.
The milk is cold. Check that the jug is in contact
with the hotplate.
The milk jug should be positioned
correctly on the hotplate.
