To reduce the space requirements for
transport and storage, the steering column
can be folded down.
Release the star knob for the transport
position.
Swivel the steering wheel forwards.
Tighten the star handle.

weight of the appliance during transport.
Remove the brush to avoid damage to
the brushes.
When transporting in vehicles, secure
the appliance according to the guide-
lines from slipping and tipping over.
Adjust the steering wheel to the highest
position.
One person holds the appliance by the
two front handles under the fresh water
tank.
The second person holds the appliance
by the steering wheel.
Note:
Do not carry the appliance by the cleaning
head, as this can cause the appliance to
swing around the steering column.

This appliance must only be stored in inte-
rior rooms.
DANGER
Risk of electric shock.
Prior to all work on the appliance, switch off
the appliance and pull the power plug.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage for the appliance due to
leaking water. Drain the wastewater and re-
maining fresh water prior to performing
tasks on the appliance.
Park the machine on an even surface.
Check the mains connection cable for
damages. Replace the defective mains
cable.
Check spray pattern of the nozzles.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage. Do not sluice the appli-
ance with water and do not use aggressive
detergents.
Drain off dirt water.
Rinse the waste tank and lid with clear
water.
Clean and check the seals between the
waste water tank and the lid and be-
tween the waste water tank and the
fresh water tank.
Clean sieve with the float ball in the
waste water tank.
Clean brush.
Check the brush for wear and replace if
required (see "Maintenance tasks").
Remove bulk waste container and emp-
ty it.
Rinse out the suction hose.
Clean the suction bar and check its
ease of movement.
Rinse the fresh water tank and spray sys-
tem with about 5 litres of clear water.
Run the suction turbine for at least
1minute.
Clean the outside of the appliance with
a damp cloth which has been soaked in
mild detergent.
Clean the vacuum bar, check for wear
and replace if necessary.
Always store the appliance with the
waste water tank lid open.
Take out the brush and clean it thor-
oughly.
Check status and correct seating of all
seals.
Clean the sight glass for waste water.
Check the vacuum bar for damages.
Clean the wheels under the cleaning head.
Clean the fresh water filter.
Have the prescribed inspection carried
out by the customer service.

Remove the waste water tank.
Insert the water hose into the suction
hose.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage. Ensure that no water en-
ters the suction turbine suction channel.
Rinse the suction hose and suction bar
with a strong water stream.

Remove the waste water tank.
Turn the steering wheel to reverse
movement.
Tilt the appliance rearward.
Pull out the suction hose from the vacu-
um bar.
Release both clips.
Remove the vacuum bar.
Open the rotatable brackets and take
off the cleaning nozzle.
The brush must be replaced if it is so heav-
ily worn that the front edge of the cleaning
head touches the ground.
Remove the waste water tank.
Tilt the appliance rearward.
Press the release button for the brush
roller and swivel the brush roller toward
the bottom and pull it off the driver.
Place the new brush roller on the driver
and lock into place on the opposite side.
To ensure a reliable operation of the appli-
ance maintenance contracts can be con-
cluded with the competent Kärcher sales
office.
