safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

Check that your mains voltage corresponds with that stated on your appliance
Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Never move the appliance or the fondue pot when hot.
Do not use the fondue pot with the dust cover on. This is for storage only.
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before moving, cleaning or storing it. Always
use the plastic handles; do not touch the hot parts of the appliance.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. If it is damaged it should be
repaired by a competent qualified electrician (*).Should the cord be damaged, it must
be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*).
Use your appliance for domestic purposes only in the way indicated in the instruction
manual.
Do not move the appliance by pulling the cord. Do not wind the cord round the
appliance or bend it. Make sure that the cord is not caught in any way. Do not allow
the cord to touch the hot parts of the appliance and that nothing comes into contact
with the heating element.
The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in
use. Never touch the hot parts of the appliance, make use of the handles.
Do not use near hot surfaces.
Never use the appliance outdoors. Always keep it in a dry environment.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, neither for cleaning nor for
any reason whatsoever. Do not place in the dishwasher.
Stand the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
Make sure the hot parts of the appliance are not exposed to inflammable materials, such
as curtains, tablecloth, ... as a fire might occur. It is recommended that the appliance is
placed on a heat resistant mat when in use (in order not to damage the table or surface
it is on).
Take care not to overheat fat and oil, as these may catch fire.
Always use in a well-ventilated area.
Only cook fresh food.
Use wooden or heat resistant plastic utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick coating on
the grill plate and raclette pans.
Unplug the appliance when not in use
Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Make sure that the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing.
It is essential to keep the appliance clean as it comes into contact with food.
Never use accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician (*).
CAUTION :
Always use gauntlets when you want to replace the sauce bowl with the
fondue pot.
