Press START PROGRAMMA once. In the display appear the time, current temperature,

according to program.
MAINTAINING YOUR THERMOSTAT
Taking the thermostat off the wall plate
1. Turn off the screw on the bottom of the thermostat (not every thermostat is fitted onto
the wall plate like this).
2. Carefully pull the thermostat loose by pulling it from the underside towards you.
3. Pull it from the ridges on the top towards you.
Placing the thermostat back onto the wall plate
1. Hook the thermostat with its nodges onto the ridges on the upper side of the wall
plate.
2. Carefully let the underside of the thermostat fall back onto the wall plate. The steel
epins are supposed to slide easily into the thermostat. Please do this with care.
Forcing the thermostat onto the pins may damage the thermostat. Gently push until
you hear a click.
3. Fasten the screw back into the underside of the thermostat – this is optional, though.
Replacing the batteries
Chronotherm IV works with three AA alkaline Penlite-batteries. When the display reads
VERV BAT you need to replace the batteries. You will have approximately 2 months
before the batteries are completely dead.
When the batteries are completely dead the display will show nothing. You will need to
replace the batteries. In most cases you will need to reprogram the day and time.
When you replace the batteries before they are completely dead, you have 30 seconds to
do so without risking to lose the set time and day.
To replace the batteries:
1. Take the thermostat off the wall plate as described above.
2. Take the old batteries out of the battery compartment.
3. Place back the new batteries.
4. Place back the thermostat back onto the wall plate as described above.
5. If need be, set the time and day.
Please dispose of your old batteries as chemical disposables.
Please note: the lifespan of batteries inside the Chronotherm IV is dependable of the
quality and technical specifications of the batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not
recommended to use in the Chronotherm IV!
