Before you start using the appliance please read this user manual. Keep the manual for future reference
and transfer together with the appliance.
1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. The mains supply voltage shall match the rating of your appliance.
4. Do not operate by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
5. Pull the plug if you don’t use the appliance or if there is a malfunction. Also pull the plug in the event
of a power cut.
6. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas cooker or a heated oven. Keep the power cord away
from hot surfaces.
7. Do not immerse any part of this appliance in water or any other liquid.
8. The coffee maker shall not be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.
9. The appliance shall be cleaned after use to avoid cultures of fungi growing on it.
10. Pull the plug only by using the plug, not by pulling the cable.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
12. When you don’t use the appliance according to these instructions we reject any liability.
13. Do not drop the glass jug. Do not grab for falling glass containers. Cullets can bounce and cause
serious injury.
14. Provide for sufficient moving space. Spilled coffee can cause burns. Children are especially vulner-
able as their skin surface is smaller.
15. Do not set down the hot glass jug into cold water puddles. The jug could crack and spill the hot cof-
fee.
