Special Functions
Recording - controlled from
external devices
If an external device with a timer and control signal
is connected to the recorder at the EURO-AV A1 or
A2 socket, this device can control recording on the
recorder.

Preparation
Insert a cassette that has sufficient playing time and
is not erase protected.

Preparing the EURO-AV socket for the
external device
Call up the info table using the h button.
Use the DC buttons to select the »A1/A2 Record
Prepared« line and call it up using the G button.
– The »A1/A 2 RECORD PREPARED« table appears.
Use the F or E buttons to switch on “Record Pre-
pared”.
Use the D button to select the »A1 A2« line and
activate EURO-AV socket A1 or A2 using the
F or E buttons.
Store the setting with the G button.
– The recorder is in record prepared mode. The
timing of the recording will be controlled by the
external device.

If this function has been selected, TIMER recording
and operation with a decoder are not possible.

To terminate this function, repeat the setting proce-
dure from step and switch “Record Prepared”
(see step ) to “OFF”.

Continuous playback mode

Preparation for continuous playback
mode
Insert a recorded cassette.
Start playback using the T button on the remote
control or the Q button on the recorder.
Press the H button on the remote control or the
k button on the recorder at the position where
playback is to end.
Press the

CODE button, the numbered buttons
8501 and the G button in sequence.

Starting continuous playback
Start the function using the T button on the
remote control or the Q button on the recorder.

C-PLAY

– The tape is rewound to the beginning, where play-
back starts.
The tape runs to the marked position. Then the
tape is rewound to the beginning and playback
starts again.

Terminating the continuous mode
