Manual station search
If the station search does not find a particular station automatically,
it can search for it using the manual search. To do this all the para-
meters for the station must be correctly entered. You can find the lat-
est transponder information on the teletext pages of various broad-
casters, in a current satellite TV magazine or on the Internet.
1 In the »Main Menu«, select »Installation« with »P-« or »P+«
and confirm with »OK«.
2 Select »Channel search« with »P-« or »P+« and press »OK«
to confirm.
3 Select »Manual search« with »P-« or »P+« and press »OK« to
confirm.
4 Select the item with »P-« or »P+« and press »OK« to confirm.
Press »P-« or »P+« to make the settings and press »OK« to
confirm.
– »Satellite«: For selecting the satellite.
– »Encrypted«: Press »Yes« (encrypted stations are also
searched for) or »No«.
– »Frequency«: Enter the channel frequency in five digits with
»1 ... 0«.
– »Polarisation«: For setting the channel polarisation
(»Horizontal« or »Vertical«).
– »Symbol rate«: Enter the channel symbol rate in five digits
with »1 ... 0«.
5 Press »
Ȅ« to start the search.
– The new TV or radio stations found are displayed at the end
of the search in the »Search results« menu.
Notes:
A search can only be successful if the bit error rate (BER) is
0 and the reception display is green.
If the set transponder is not found, check the polarisation, the
symbol rate or change the frequency slightly (± 2 MHz). Press
»
Ȅ« to start the search again.
6 Press »i« and then »OK« to save the settings.
– The search result is transferred to the »Channel lists«.
