Further TP functions
1 Briefly press »TP« to interrupt the current traffic announcement.
– The general traffic announcement standby is maintained.
2 You may preset the volume level for the traffic announcements.
This setting is made in the EXPERT control level. See page 36.
3 If you wish to hear only traffic announcements, activate the TP
function with the »TP« button then turn the volume to zero using
the »
O« control knob.
4 If the TP station tuned to can no longer or only poorly be
received, the radio tunes automatically to a station with higher
signal strength.
– The display shows: »LRN« with, e.g., »87 50« (scrolling).
Alternative frequencies (AF)
AF in DAB mode
As DAB ensembles do not contain alternative frequencies, the AF
function can be deactivated for the DAB mode in the DAB function
menu. For more information, see page 46, chapter “Special DAB
Settings”.
AF in radio mode
If an RDS (Radio Data System) programme is received which is
broadcast from several stations with different frequencies, the radio
tunes automatically to the frequency with the highest signal strength.
Note:
When you are driving in an area of very poor reception condi-
tions, it may happen that short pauses occur while the radio is
searching for the alternative frequencies. It is best in this case to
switch the AF function off.
