Operation and use
Before use
Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains.
[5] Insert the holder into the special hole on the main part of the tank and hook on the
cable.
[6] Open safety lock (BS 1000) or screw-on cap (BS 2000) and fill in max. 0,8 litres of
water and close safety lock/srew-on cap.
[7] Always place the iron on the special rest.
Should the iron be placed on any other surface:
- its base could be damaged
- could also cause a fire.

• Take the supply cable out of the cable storage, unwind completely and insert the plug
into a power supply socket.
• Switch on the appliance at the function selector [12]:
Pos. [0] OFF
Pos. [D] Steam ironing (steam generator on)
Pos. [E] Dry ironing (steam generator off)
During setting of the switch [12] to the above stages, the indicator light [14 A] comes
on. The heater and the indicator light are switched off in the [0] position.
• After a few minutes the max. steam pressure of approx. 320 kPa has been reached,
this is the case when the “ready” indicator [14 B] lights up.
