After use
• The appliance can be switched off [12] - Pos. [0] imme-
diately after you have finished ironing.
• Do not move or put away the appliance while it is still
hot.
• Do not empty the generator but leave a little water insi-
de.
• Empty the generator only if the iron will remain usused
for a long period, or if it fas to be transported elsewhe-
re or sent to a service centre.
According to the amount of use and to the level ao
hardness in the water, a certain amount of deposit will
form inside the generator.
• Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the
mains.
• BS 1000: open safety lock [6]
BS 2000: open boiler lock [11]
• Empty the generator and rinse well with water.
• BS 1000: close safety lock [6]
BS 2000: close boiler lock [11]
Adding water
Once all the water has been used, this is indicated by indi-
cator [14 C] lighting up. In addition, the heater is switched
off automatically:
• Remove the plug from the mains socket.
• [6] Open safety lock (BS 1000) or screw-on cap (BS
2000) and fill in max. 0,8 litres of water and close safety
lock/srew-on cap (page 13).
• Push plug back into mains socket.
To prolong the life of your steam chamber and of your
iron we recommend using demineralised water. If you
live in a very hard water area we recommend using
demineralised water or boiled settled water. In case
you use tap water do not leave the water in the steam
chamber for more than 3-4 days without using the
appliance.
