6.5.2 Enabling recording after motion detection
Now that you configured the motion detection, you can enable the recording after
motion detection.
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control to open the menu of the
EM6010.
2. Press the ‘Enter’ button to open the ‘Record’ menu.
3. Choose the option ‘Record IMG Size’, nd set it to ‘Frame’ using the ‘Enter’ button.
4. Choose the option ‘Record Quality’, and set it to ‘Best’ using the ‘Enter’ button.
5. Choose the option ‘Manual Record IPS’ and set it to (for instance) ’25 IPS’ using
the ‘Enter’ button. (Consult the table in chapter 6.2 to estimate the disk usage.)
6. Choose the option ‘Event Record Enable’
7. Press the ‘Enter’ button to select ‘Yes’.
8. Press the red ‘Menu’ button twice to leave the menu.
The EM6010 will now start recording images as soon as motion is detected.
6.5. Motion detection at certain times / on certain days
If you do not wish to constantly record each motion, but only at certain times or on
certain days, you can set a time schedule in the EM6010 as follows:
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control to open the menu of the
EM6010.
2. Choose the option ‘Advance’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
3. Choose the option ‘Detection’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
4. Choose the option ‘Detection Timer’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
5. Using the arrow keys you can select the field you wish to alter. The ‘+’ and ‘-‘
buttons allow you to change the values.
6. The ‘Date’ field lets you choose between a day, workdays or weekend.
7. Enter the start time and the end time between which the recording of motion
actually needs to occur in the ‘Start’ field and the ‘End’ field.
8. Press the red ‘Menu’ button four times to leave the menu.
6.6 Automatically overwrite recordings
The EM6010 allows you to overwrite recordings. This function enables the earliest
recordings (at the beginning of the disk) to be overwritten as soon as the disk is full. If
necessary, blocks of old data, 8 GB each, will be overwritten. You can enable this
function in the ‘Record’ menu, by setting the option ‘Overwrite’ to ‘YES’.
