3. Proper use
The equipment may be used indoors in a free
standing position or outdoors (but not in rain). Keep a
minimum distance of 1 m between the housing and
walls, combustible materials (furniture, curtains, etc.).
The equipment may be used only when completely
mounted and standing on a stable surface. It is
prohibited to operate the equipment on an instable
surface (e.g. on a bed).
Please note that our equipment has not been
designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial
applications. Our warranty will be voided if the
machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial
businesses or for equivalent purposes.

5. Assembly
1. Fig. 2: Use 4 screws to fasten the lower stand pipe
(7a) to the supporting foot (9).
2. Fig. 3: Push the screw cover (10) over the lower
stand pipe.
3. Push the cable guide (Fig. 1/Item 6) over the lower
stand pipe.
4. Screw the middle stand pipe to the lower stand
pipe.
5. Push the cable guide over the upper stand pipe.
6. Screw the upper stand pipe to the middle stand
pipe.
7. Undo the lock nut (Fig. 1 / Item 5) and pull out the
telescopic pipe (Fig. 1 / Item 4) a distance of
approx. 15 cm. Then retighten the lock nut again.
8. Fig. 4: Push the heater housing (1) onto the
telescopic pipe (4) as far as the stop. Be sure to
hold the telescopic pipe steady with one hand as
you do so. Then use the screw (11) to lock the
heater housing on the telescopic pipe (4). Tighten
the screw by turning clockwise.
9. Clip the power cable (Fig. 1 / Item 8) into the cable
guides (Fig. 1 / Item 6). The power cable must be
routed downwards via the cable guides.
6. Starting up
Important! Before using the appliance for the first
time, check that the voltage supply is the same as
the voltage details set out on the data plate. Read
safety instructions listed under section 1.
When the heater is used for the first time or after a
long period of rest it may emit an odor for a short
time. This is not a fault.
The radiant heater warms objects or persons at
which it is pointed but does not directly heat the air in
the process. The heat output is set by a switch with
pull cord. The selected setting is displayed. The
heater housing can be tipped through a maximum of
30° downwards.
6.1 Topple cut-out
The device heater has a topple cut-out. This will trip
as soon as the device is tipped beyond an angle of
45°. It will cut in again after the device has been
placed upright.
Caution! The heater housing becomes hot during
operation – risk of burns.
