Follow these steps to get a quick tutorial on how to create your own button for
environmental control with GEWA link or 4096 code, turning on/off the light for a lamp

1. Start the GEWA Connect application.
2. Go to the App menu and select Switch to Edit Mode.
3. Tap on New.
4. Tap on to select a symbol, e.g. .
5. Tap on Name. Enter a name, e.g. lamp.
6. Tap on Type and select IR item.
7. Tap on to save.
The button is shown in the list. Notice that the button is marked with , which means that it
doesn’t have an IR command and therefore cannot be used for environmental control yet.
To be able to continue, an IR receiver* must be available for testing.
8. Tap on the button’s menu and select Add IR command.
9. Select Use GEWA link or Use GEWA 4096 code and follow the instructions to select
code.
10. Go to the App menu and select Switch to Normal mode.
11. Test your new IR button.
* Example: A lamp connected to a GEWA Andromeda Socket for turning on/off the light.
Note! GEWA link is standard channels that are used in all GEWA remote control units and
receivers. The 4096 code is used when a more private code is needed: e.g. for opening the
front door.
