NOTE:
The setting “4:3/PS” is not supported by all DVDs.
Password
The settings will be protected against use by children and may be chan-
ged only by you.
To change the password you must rst enter the default current default
password. The default password is “1369”.
NOTE:
If you forget your password you may deactive the child saftey function
by using the default password.
To change the password proceed as follows:
1. Enter the current password using then Numerical Buttons (Fig. 2/26)
of the remote control.
The password is displayed on the screen as “XXXX” to prevent access
by unauthorized individuals.
2. Conrm your entry with the ENTER button (Fig. 2/22).
3. Enter your new password now using the Numerical Buttons (Fig.
2/26) on the remote control.
Rating (Child Protection)
Some DVDs provide ratings for target groups. Applicable is the same
standard used for movie ratings (i.e. “Rated 12 years of age and above”).
If you activated the child protection, if available, the information is read
by the DVD and compared to your selected setting. If the DVD is autho-
rized for and older age group as indicated in your settings the DVD will
not play. After entering the current password into the “parental control”
section, the following rating options are available (lock symbol open):
KID SAFE: Acceptable for children.
G: Acceptable for all age groups.
PG: Parental guidance recommended. Some passages may not be
suitable for smaller children.
PG 13: Parental guidance strongly recommended. Some passages
may not be suitable for children under 13.
PGR: Parental guidance is necessary.
R: Adolescents under 17 years of age may view this movie only if
accompanied by an adult.
NC17: Children and adolescents are prohibited from viewing this
movie.
ADULT: This lm is suitable for adults only.
