IMPORTANT!
Before starti ng work the i nstaller shou ld carefully read this
Installation & Operation Manual , and make sure all i nstru ctio ns
contained therein are understood a nd observed.
- The t hermostat sho uld be mounted, operated and maintai ned
by speciall y trai ned personnel o nly. Personnel in the course of
training are only allowed to handle the product under t he
supervision of a n e xperienced fi tter. S ubject to observation of
the above terms, t he manufact ure shall assume the li ability for
the equipment as provided by l egal stipulations.
- All i nstru ctions in this Installation & Operation manual should
be observed when working with the controller. Any other
application shall not comply with the regulations. T he
manufacturer shall not be li able i n case of i ncompetent use of
the control. Any modi fications and amendments are not allowed
for safety reasons.
The maintenance may be performed by servi ce shops
approved by the manufacturer o nly.
- T he f unctionality of the controller depe nds o n the model a nd
equipment. This i nstallation l eaflet is part of the prod uct a nd
has to be obtained.
APPLICATION
- The t hermostats range “BT-DPRF-02” has been developed to
control and ma nage all type of Electrical heating system or
materials.
- The controllers have been designed for use in residential
rooms and industrial facilities.
Verify that the installation complies with existing regulations
before operation to ensure proper use of the install ation.

2. First Installation
This section will guide you to set up your thermostat for the fi rst
time.
2.1. Batteries installation
- Open the two side’s covers a nd Insert the 2 AAA Alkali ne
supplied batteries (or remove t he small protection sticker i f the
batteries are already i nstalled in the compartment)
- Close the two side’s covers
- Now your thermostat will propose you to adjust the current
time and date
2.2. Time and Date adjustment
Each time a value bli nks, you can adjust it with the (-) and (+)
keys, once the value is chose n, validate it with the (OK) key.
The thermostat will jump automatically to the next value.
Remark: you can always come back to the previous value by
pressing the escape key ( ) .
List order of the time and date adj ustments:
Time and day:
Adjustment of the hours,
Adjustment of the minutes
Adjustment of the day (1 = Mo nday)
Date:
Adjustment of the day number
Adjustment of the month number (01 to 12)
Adjustment of the year
Then the message “Save ” and blinking green LED appe ars,
press (OK) to validate the adj usted time and date.
You can al ways reach the ti me and d ate adjustments, by
pressing and maintaining t he edition ( ) key duri ng 2 seco nds
in normal operating modes.
Remark: w hen a ce ntral (BT-CT02) is li nked to your
installation, thermostat will use the Time set in the Central
2.3. RF installation
Please have a look at the list of all receivers compatibl e with
this thermostat in Technical Characteristics section.
2.3.1. With receivers
- Fi rst of all to configure your thermostat with the re ceiver, you
must put your recei ver in « RF init » mode (refer to the receiver
leaflet, only the RF receiver of the same range are
compatibles).
- Now on the t hermostat press and maintain t he edi tion key
( ) during 5s, then the paramet er « RF ini » must be
display.
The thermostat will send now the radio config uration signal to
the receiver.
- After few seco nds the t hermostat and recei ver should e xit by
their self the RF init mode, this i s the n ormal procedure to
confirm a correct pairi ng.
- Now you can check t he RF dista nce, g o to the room which
must be regulated. P ut your thermostat on the fi nal position (On
the wall or table...), then p ut t he thermo stat in Comfort mode
(setting temperat ure posi tion 37°C). Close the door and go to
the receiver to check i f the new stat us o f the thermostat has
received.
- Now return to t he t hermostat and switch off i t. Check on the
receiver again if it’s al so switched off.
If t he RF si gnals were recei ved correctl y, adj ust yo ur setti ng
temperature as you want.
If t he R F si gnals weren’t rec eived correctly, check the
installation (Receiver position, di stance...) or restart the RF init
rules to be sure.
Remark: To make t he install ation easier, i t will be better to
have the thermostat near to t he r eceiver du ring the
configuration mode. (A minimal distance of 1 meter must be
respected)
2.3.2. Case of Central (BT-CT02)
Procedure i s the same as in 2.3.1 but link is done with central
(BT-CT02). At this moment, Ce ntral creates a new zone.
2.4. Starting
The thermostat is now ready to work. T he default worki ng
mode is Manual Comfort
At any ti me, when t he ba cklight i s extinct, press the (OK)
key to lit-up the backli ght.
3. Working mode definition
Your t hermostat has several different working modes to allow
you to adjust your unit accordi ng to your life habitudes.
To change the working mode,
open the smal l center cover to
have access to the navi gation
keys (◄) or (►) . Move t he frame
cursor o n the desi red worki ng
mode a nd press (O K) to e nter in
the operating mode y ou have
chosen.
3.1. Manual mode Confort
Manual worki ng mode, the comfort setti ng temperature will be
followed all the time.
By pressing (-) or (+) keys, the comfort setti ng temperat ure
starts to blink and can be adj usted.
3.2. Manual mode ECO
Manual worki ng mode, t he reduced setting temperat ure will be
followed all the time.
By pressi ng (-) or (+) keys, the reduced setti ng temperature
starts to blink and can be adj usted.
Remark: I n cool ing mode, Red uced mode acts like the OFF
mode (system is stopped)
3.3. OFF mode
Use this mode if you need to swi tch off your install ation.
Be Careful: In this mode your i nstallation can freeze.
At any time, whe n di splay is off, press on t he (Ok) key to
display a few seconds the curre nt temperature and time.
Remark: To restart your i nstallation, use the navigati on k eys
(◄) or (►).
3.4. Automatic mode
In this mode t he thermostat will follow the chosen program
(Built-in or customi zed) accordi ng to the actual ti me and t he
Comfort and Reduced setting temperat ures.
By default, mode automati c
follows the standard built-in
program “P1 ”:
Monday to Friday
Saturday and Sunday
Note:
You can customise your p rogram. See the next part “Working
mode definition” chapter “ Progra m ” for more explanation.
You can easily override temporarily the current program by
pressing (-) or (+) . The thermostat jumps to Timer mode in
which you sel ect a setpoint and a ti me. The thermostat ret urns
automatically to the Automati c mode at the end of the time.
3.5. Program mode
When yo u enter in the Program mode, t he first operation i s to
choose the program number wi th (-) or (+) keys.
You ca n c hoose betwe en a b uilt-in program P1 t o P9 or a user
program U1 to U4 .
If you chose a Built-i n program P1 to P9 ,
You can only see and chose t he program.
P1: Morning, Evening & W eekend
P2: Morning, Midday, Evening & W eekend
P3: Day & Weekend
P4: Evening & Weekend
P5: Morning, Evening (Bathroom)
P6: Morning, afternoon & W eekend
P7: 7H – 19H (Office)
P8: 8H – 19H & Saturday (Shop)
P9: Weekend (Secondary house)
- Use the navigation keys (◄) or ( ►) to vi ew other days of the
program.
- Press the (OK) key to co nfirm your choice and come back to
the main screen (in AUTO mode)
If you c hose a user program U1 to U4, you ca n al so customise
it.
Default setting:
U1, U2, U3, U4 = ECO al l week
- Press on the editi on key ( ) to customise a user program.
Symbols and explanation for progra m creation:
First step of the day ( Comfort temp.)
The wakeup hour need to be adj usted.
Middle step of the day ( Reduced temp.)
The leaving hour need to be adj usted
Middle step of the day (
The comeback hour will need to be adjusted
Last step of the day ( Redu ced temp.)
The sleeping hour need to be adj usted
- The program step is 30 mi nutes
- Each ti me a val ue or i con blinks you a re invited to make a
choice wi th (-) or (+) keys, once the choi ce i s made pres s t he
(OK) key to jump to the foll owing step.
- The program creati on will always start with t he d ay 1
(Monday).
Once you have pressed the ( ) key, the following displ ay will
appear:
Now yo u are invited to adjust the hour o f t he first step of t he
program with (-) or (+) ,
Press (OK) to validate and go to t he following step.
Now you are i nvited to choose the type of the next step of t he
program (blinking icons). Two c hoices will be possibl e:

choice is to choose the sleep i con. (End of the day)
- 2
nd
choice is to c hoose the leavi ng icon, to add one step to t he
program during the day.
When the choice i s made, press (OK) to vali date. Then you can
adjust the step hour with (-) or (+) ,
When step hour is set press (OK) to j ump to the next step.
You will be directl y invited to adjust with (-) or (+) the ho ur of
the comeback step.
Press (OK) to validate and go to t he following step.
You are again invited to choose the type of the next step of t he
program (blinking icons), two c hoices will be possibl e:

choice is to choose the sleep i cons. (End of the day)
- 2
nd
choice i s to choose t he leaving icons, to add a nother step
to the program during the day.
When the c hoice is made, press (OK) to vali d and you can
adjust the hour of this step wi th (-) or (+) ,
Press (OK) to validate and fi nish the edition of the first day.
Now you ca n choose to c opy the program day j ust created to
subsequent days
Change the choice “Yes ” or “no ” with (-) or (+) a nd val idate
your choice with (OK) .
- If yo u select “no ”, you wil l be i nvited to create a program for
Tuesday (repeat the previo us method to build it.)
- If you select “Yes ”, yo u will have t he p ossibility to copy the
program to the followi ng day (on Tuesday on W ednesday... up
to the last day of the week (7= Sunday).
When you press (OK) o n the l ast day (7 =Sunday) you wi ll be
invited to “SAVE ” your program.
Then the message “Save ” a nd blinking green LED appears:
Press (OK) key to save your program a nd return to AUTO
operating mode foll owing your user program.
Press the escape key ( ) to erase your user program
changes and come back to operati ng mode.
Remark: w hen a central is li nked to your i nstallation, program
is done on the Central.
3.6. Holiday mode
The Holiday mode al lows you to set the a nti-freeze temperature
for a selected number of days
You ca n adj ust, the duration in day “d ” with (-) or (+) , press
(OK) to start (Adjustable 1 to 44 days).
The anti-free ze setting temperature is fixed and can be
adjusted i n the parameter me nu number 06 ‘ HG’ , refer to
chapter 5.
The
logo will blink and the number of days l eft is displayed
until the end of the period.
If yo u wa nt to stop t he Hol iday function b efore t he e nd, set
the duration period to “no ” wit h (-) key.
Remarks:
- In cooling mode, this mode acts l ike an OFF mode
- When a central is li nked to your installation, this mode is
permanent (or set directl y via the Central BT-CT02)
3.7. Timer mode
The Ti mer mode allows you to adjust, the temperature for a
special time. After this time, thermostat will go to older current
mode.
- You ca n fi rst adjust, the duration in hours “H” if below 24H,
then i n day “d ” with (-) or (+) , pre ss (OK) to val idate.
(Adjustable 1 Hour to 44 days)
