5.2 Brake system
Risk of falling
Check the working of the brakes to ensure
your safety. The condition of the braking
system is influenced by wear, oil and other
contamination of the rear wheels and
braking mechanism.
The rollator is equipped with brakes, operated
by two brake levers (7). The brake levers can
be used in two braking modes: running
brakes and parking brakes.
• To use the running brakes, pull both brake
levers (7) simultaneously upwards [A]. To
stop braking, release the brake levers.
• To use the parking brakes, push both
brake levers (7) downwards in locked

brakes simultaneously. To end the parking
mode, pull both brake levers
simultaneously upwards.
5.3 Shopping basket
Risk of falling,
tipping over
Do not overload the shopping bag.
The maximum carrying weight of the
shopping basket can be found in §7.
The shopping basket can be mounted in two
ways:
• Under the seat, by placing the 4 clips (8)
on the horizontal tubes on which the
seat rests.
• In front, by resting the basket on the
lower horizontal tube and mounting the
2 large hooks (9) to the upper horizontal
tube.
5.4 Negotiating kerbs
Risk of falling
Take kerbs straight, with both front wheels
aligned to the kerb. Keep the rollator
nearby.
To make it easier to take small obstacles,
such as kerbs, the rollator is equipped with a
tipping aid on the two rear wheels.
1. Make sure you are standing stable while
holding both handgrips.
2. Use one foot and push on tipping lever (10)
to lift the front wheels.
3. Keep the rollator in that position with the
handgrips and move slowly forward until
the front wheels are on the kerb.
4. Now lift the handgrips
and move forward to
place the rear
wheels on the kerb.
5. When the rollator is
standing stable,
you can take the
kerb yourself.
5.5 Sitting down, standing up
