wireless netw ork to str eam live video and audio through the 1080p baby unit and 7-inch
colour screen par ent unit. It allows you to main tain a constant connection to your baby .

Ensure your wireless c onnection is secure.
• Before ins talling a device, ensure your router’s wireless signal is encrypt ed by selecting the “WP A2-PSK with AES”
setting in y our r outer’s wir eless security menu.
Change default settings.
• Change y our wir eless router’ s default wir eless network name (SSID) to something unique.
• Change default passwor ds to unique, strong passw ords. A str ong password:
- Is at least 10 char acters long.
- Is complex.
- Does not cont ain dictionary w ords or personal in formation.
- Contains a mix of uppercase letters, lo wercase lett ers, special characters and numbers.
Keep your devices up to da te.
• Download security pa tches from manufactur ers as soon as they become available. This will ensur e y ou always hav e
the latest security updates.
• If the f eature is av ailable, enable automatic updates f or future r eleases.
Disable Universal Plug and Pla y (UPnP) on your router .
• UPnP enabled on a r outer can limit the effectiv eness of your fir ewall by allowing other network devices to open
inbound ports without an y int ervention or appr oval fr om y ou. A virus or other malw are progr am could use this
function to compr omise security f or the entir e network.

• Connect the pow er adapt ors in a vertic al or floor mount position only . The adap tor pr ongs are no t
designed to hold the weight o f the par ent unit and the baby unit, so do not connect them to an y c eiling,
under-the-table, or cabinet outle ts. Otherwise, the adaptors ma y not properly connect to the outlets.
• Make sur e the paren t unit, the bab y unit and the power adaptor cords ar e out of r each of childr en.
Charge the paren t unit battery before use
The parent unit operat es on an internal r echargeable battery or A C power . T o continuously
monitor y our bab y , keep the par ent unit connected t o A C power .
• Befor e using the baby monitor for the first time, char ge the parent unit battery for 12 hours. When
the parent unit battery is fully char ged, the battery icon becomes solid .
• The standby time varies depending on your actual use.
The battery icon indicat es the battery status ( see the follo wing table ).

Direct mode
Y our bab y monit or par ent unit and bab y unit connect t o each other in Direct mode by default , which
allows you t o immediately stream video out of the bo x.
It is NOT recommended to continue using Direct M ode connection after initial installation.
Y ou may e xperience reduced signal s trength
if your parent unit and baby unit are far
apart, or there ar e obstructing factors, such
as internal walls, between them. Y ou hav e to
set up Rout er mode to connect the units via
your home Wi-Fi netw ork to impro ve the
connection between your parent unit and
baby unit.

Y ou are r equired to set up y our monitor
in Rout er mode t o enjoy live video
streaming via your parent unit with an
enhanced connection. R outer mode
is the r ecommended mode for stable
connectivity .
Router mode uses your home Wi-Fi
network t o connect your video monitor .
It supports liv e video str eaming thr ough
the parent unit and smartphone app.
If y ou wan t to str eam live video r emotely
with y our mobile device, download and
install the MyVT ech Baby Pr o mobile
app. With the mobile app, your Wi-Fi router ( not included) pr ovides Interne t connectivity to
your HD video monitor s ystem. It serv es as a communicating channel be tween your baby unit
and mobile device, allo wing y ou to monit or and/ or contr ol y our bab y unit wher ev er you ar e.
