g=ON/OFF
On/Off switch
Taking into operation
Before switching on, it is es-
sential to make sure that the
fuse system for the power
supply at the camp site is
sufficient for 700 W (230 V)
(at least 3 A).
In order to prevent the
power cable for the
caravan from overheating
(minimum cross-section
3 x 2.5 mm
2
) the cable drum
must be fully unwound.
To carry out the individual
switching commands, the re-
mote control must always be
pointed at the infra-red re-
ceiver.
1. Switch the Frostair on us-
ing button „g“ on the remote
control. The previous operat-
ing mode that was selected
using the remote control is
automatically used.
2. Set the desired operating
mode using the button „a“.
FAN: Ventilation only
(without cooling).
COMFORT: Cooling. The blow-
ing power and the interior
temperature can be adjusted
individually. The green monitor
light in the receiver indicates
that the compressor is in oper-
ation and therefore that cool-
ing operation is in progress.
3. If required, use the buttons
„b“ and „c“ to set the de-
sired blowing power and inte-
rior temperature.
The arrow (h) shows the set-
ting mode which has been
selected.
When the room temperature
that was selected using the
remote control is reached in
cooling mode, the compres-
sor switches off and the
green indicator lamp in the
receiver goes out. The circu-
lation fan continues to run in
order to provide ventilation. If
the room temperature is ex-
ceeded the device automati-
cally reverts to cooling mode.
Switching off
To switch off, press the but-
ton „g“ on the remote con-
trol once again. To confirm
the signal the green monitor-
ing light will go out.
If the Frostair is
switched on again with-
in approximately 3 minutes,
the green indicator lamp
blinks. Only the fan runs at
first, and the compressor
starts up after a certain delay
time.
During cooling opera-
tion, condensation wa-
ter will form on the evapora-
tor. In order to counteract
possible germ formation, and
to dry out the evaporator, the
unit should be run for about
another 5 - 10 minutes in the
„FAN“ and „HIGH“ setting.
Timer
By using the integrated timer,
the system can be pro-
grammed in advance to
switch on or off automatically
up to 15 hours after the cur-
rent time. It is not possible to
pre-program the system to a
specific point in time.
To carry out programming,
first switch the device to re-
mote-control mode with the
switch „g“.
Then set the desired opera-
tional mode and ambient
temperature with the buttons
„a“, „b“, and „c“.
Then select the desired
function (k) with the button
„e“ (TIMER):
ON to switch on,
OFF to switch off.
The arrow (j) will flash and
shows the setting mode. Af-
ter this, select the desired
switching time (1 to 15
hours) by using the buttons
SET (c).
If ON (switch on) is selected,
the device must be switched
off again at the remote con-
trol after the adjustment pro-
cedure. The yellow monitor
light on the receiver will flash
to confirm that programming
has taken place.
If OFF (switch off) is selected,
the yellow light on the receiv-
er will flash and confirm that
programming has taken
place. After this, do not
switch the device off with
the remote control.
To help save the batter-
ies in the remote con-
trol, it is possible (after OFF
programming) to cover the
infra-red transmitter with the
hand, and then switch off the
remote control. This means
that no signal will be sent to
the device, and the program-
ming will be retained.
Emergency On/Off
There is an additional push-
button on the receiver (m),
with which the unit can also
be switched on and off with-
out the remote control (e.g.
with a ballpoint pen).
If the device is switched on
by using this button switch,
automatically the last operat-
ing mode set on the remote
control will be selected.
Important Operating
Instructions
Repairs may only be
carried out by properly
qualified professionals!
1. To avoid damage during
transport, the device must
only be dispatched after
discussion with the Truma
Service department (see
page 44).
2. The voltage must be dis-
connected at all poles before
the housing is opened.
3. The appliance fuse, 230 V,
3,15 A (slow-acting, IEC 127)
is located on the electronic
control unit in the device, and
may only be replaced by a
fuse of the same design.
Appliance fuses and connec-
tion leads may only be re-
placed by a properly qualified
person.
4. Any modification to the de-
vice, or the use of spare parts
and functionally-important ac-
cessories which are not origi-
nal Truma components, or
failure to respect the Installa-
tion and Operating Instruc-
tions, will lead to the cancella-
tion of the guarantee and to
the exclusion of claims for
liability.
5. The cooling circuit con-
tains the cooling agent
R 407C, and may only be
opened by a properly quali-
fied person.
6. The cool air outflow and
the ambient air suction intake
must not on any account be
obstructed. Please bear this
in mind in order to ensure the
trouble-free operation of your
device.
