3 OPERATION TELEPHONE
3.1 Setting the date and time
When you use the Phonemaster 150 for the first time, you can set the date and time.
• ‘SET TIME’ appears on the display and the hour indication on the display starts to blink
• Enter the hour by means of the Up and Down buttons.
• Confirm this setting by pressing the Erase button
• The minute indication starts to blink.
• Repeat the same steps to set the minutes, the month and the day.
• After having set the month, press the OK button and the unit will return to standby mode.
3.2 Setting the ringer volume
The ringer volume can be set by means of the ring volume switch at the back of the phone.
You can choose between high ‘Hi’, Low ‘Low’ and no ringing signal ‘OFF’.
3.3 Flash
Press the Flash button to use certain services as ‘Call Waiting’ (if this service is provided by your
telephone company); or to transfer phone calls when you are using a telephone exchange (PABX).
3.4 Last number redial
If you want to look at one of the 3 last dialled telephone numbers, press the Redial button.
• Select the desired telephone number by means of the Up and Down buttons.
• When you have selected a number, pick up the handset or press the Handsfree button.
The selected number will be dialled automatically.
3.5 Mute
It is possible to deactivate the microphone during a telephone conversation.
• Press the Mute button for 2 seconds. The Mute symbol appears on the display.
Now you can talk freely without the caller hearing you.
• Press the Mute button again for 2 seconds to resume the conversation.
3.6 Phone Book
The Phonemaster 150 can save up to 40 telephone numbers (20 digits) and names (16 digits ) in the
Phone Book.
3.6.1 Using the Alphanumerical Keypad
Use the alphanumerical keypad to enter text. To select a letter, press the corresponding button. For
example, press the ‘2’ button twice to select the letter ‘B’. If you want to select ‘A’ as well as ‘B’,
press the ‘2’ button once to select ‘A’, wait for the cursor to go to the following position and then
press the ‘2’ button twice to select ‘B’.
You can also move the cursor by pressing the Up and Down buttons if you want, for example, to
add a space. Wrongly entered characters can be erased by means of the Erase button.
