1 Before Initial use
Thank you for purchasing this new desktop telephone.
1.1 Intended Purpose
This product is intend to be connected indoor to an analogue PSTN telephone line.
1.2 Connection
This device has been designed and manufactured to comply with the 98/482/EC
rule, referent to the Pan European connection of a terminal to the Public Switching
Telephone Network (PSTN) and following the established guidelines by the
1999/5/EC Directive about radio electric equipments and the reciprocal
acknowledge of their conformity. However, due to the fact that there are some
differences in the PSTNs from one country to another, the verifying
measurements by themselves do not set up an unconditional guarantee for an
optimal working in every connection point to the PSTN of any country .If any
problem comes up, get in touch firstly with the distributor.
In any case, use conditions for which the product has been created should be
respected as well as avoid its use in public or private networks with technical
requirements clearly different to those established in the EU.
2 Cleaning
Clean the telephone with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
3 Disposal of the device (environment)
At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into
the normal household garbage but bring the product to a collection point
for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on
the product, user guide and/or box indicate this.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling point.
By re-using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important
contribution to the protection of the environment.Please contact your local
authorities in case you need more information on the collection points in your area.
4 Safety advice
The following safety advice must always be followed before using
this equipment.
Please read carefully through the following information
concerning safety and proper use. Make yourself familiar with all
the functions of the equipment. Be careful to keep these advice
notes and if necessary pass them on to a third party.

• Do not operate the equipment if the telephone cable or the equipment itself is
damaged.
• If the equipment is dropped, it must be checked by a professional before
further use.
• Dangerous voltages are present inside the equipment. Never open the housing
or insert objects through the ventilation holes.
• Do not allow liquids to get into the equipment. In case of emergency, pull out
the plug from the socket.
• Similarly, if a fault develops during use or before you start to clean the
equipment, pull the plug out of the socket.
• Do not touch plug contacts with sharp or metal objects.
• Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the equipment yourself. Have
repairs done to the equipment or the mains cable only by a specialist service
centre. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.
• Children frequently underestimate the dangers associated with electrical
equipment. Therefore you must never leave children unsupervised in the
vicinity of electrical equipment.
• The equipment is not to be used in a damp room (e.g. bathrooms) or rooms
where there is a lot of dust.
• Equipment connected to the telephone line during a thunderstorm can be
damaged by lightning. Therefore you should pull the plug out of the main socket
during a storm.

6 Installing the line cord
For installation, do the following:
• Put the telephone on a flat surface.
• Plug one end of the line cord into the telephone wall outlet and the other end
into the Line connector on the backside of the telephone (2).

7 Getting started
7.1 Making a phone call
To make a phone call, pick up the receiver. Enter the telephone number.
7.2 Handset volume
The handset volume can be adjusted (Low, Medium, High) by the handset volume
switch (4) on the right side of the telephone.
7.3 Last number redial
The last dialled telephone numbers are saved in the redial memory.
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Press , the number will be dialled automatically.
Note: The Redial button can also be used as a Pause button while
entering a telephone number !
7.4 Mute
It is possible to mute the microphone during a conversation by pressing and holding
the mute button . You can now talk freely without the caller hearing you.
Release the Mute button if you want to resume your conversation.
7.5 Music on hold
It is possible to put the caller on Hold during a conversation by pressing the music
on hold button . You can now talk freely without the caller hearing you. The caller
will hear a digital melody.
Press the Music on Hold button again if you want to resume your conversation.
7.6 Ringer volume
When you receive a phone call, the unit will ring. The ring volume can be switched
off with the Ringer switch (3)
7.7 Flash Key
Press the Flash button (R) to use certain services as ‘Call Waiting’ (if this service is
provided by your telephone company); or to transfer phone calls when you are
using a telephone exchange (PABX).
8 Memory numbers
You can program 10 indirect memory numbers (0-9) in the phone’s memory.
8.1 Programming an indirect memory number
• Pick up the handset.
• Press the program button (6).
• Enter the telephone number.

• Press the program button (6).
• Press the desired memory location 0..9 (numerical buttons).
• Put the handset back on the phone.
8.2 Calling an indirect memory number
• Pick up the handset and press the Memory button (7).
• Press the number of the memory location (0-9), the programmed number will
be dialled automatically.

10 Topcom warranty
10.1 Warranty period
The Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on
the day the new unit is purchased. Consumables or defects causing a negligible
effect on operation or value of the equipment are not covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of the original purchase receipt, on
which the date of purchase and the unit-model are indicated.
10.2 Warranty handling
A faulty unit needs to be returned to a Topcom service centre including a valid
purchase note.
If the unit develops a fault during the warranty period, Topcom or its officially
appointed service centre will repair any defects caused by material or
manufacturing faults free of charge.
Topcom will at its discretion fulfil its warranty obligations by either repairing or
exchanging the faulty units or parts of the faulty units. In case of replacement,
colour and model can be different from the original purchased unit.
The initial purchase date shall determine the start of the warranty period. The
warranty period is not extended if the unit is exchanged or repaired by Topcom or
its appointed service centres.
10.3 Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage
resulting from use of non-original parts or accessories not recommended by
Topcom are not covered by the warranty.The warranty does not cover damage
caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire, nor any damage
caused during transportation. No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on
the units has been changed, removed or rendered illegible.

4 Veiligheidsadvies
• Gebruik het toestel niet als de telefoonkabel of het toestel zelf beschadigd is.
• Wanneer het toestel is gevallen, moet u het laten nakijken door een vakman
alvorens het opnieuw te gebruiken.
• In het toestel zijn gevaarlijke spanningen aanwezig. Open nooit de behuizing
en steek geen voorwerpen in de ventilatiegaten.
• Zorg ervoor dat het toestel niet in contact komt met water. Haal in geval van
nood de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Haal ook de stekker uit het stopcontact als er een defect optreedt tijdens het
gebruik of voordat u het toestel gaat schoonmaken.
• Raak de contactpunten van de stekker niet aan met scherpe of metalen
voorwerpen.
• Voer zelf geen aanpassingen of reparaties uit aan het toestel. Laat reparaties
aan het toestel of de stroomkabel alleen uitvoeren door een gespecialiseerd
onderhoudscentrum. Slechte reparaties kunnen leiden tot een aanzienlijk
gevaar voor de gebruiker.
• Kinderen onderschatten vaak de gevaren van elektrische apparatuur. Laat
kinderen daarom nooit zonder toezicht in de buurt van elektrische apparatuur.
• Het toestel mag niet worden gebruikt in een vochtige ruimte (bv. badkamers) of
ruimten met veel stof.
• Apparaten die tijdens een onweersbui met de telefoonlijn verbonden zijn,
kunnen door blikseminslag worden beschadigd. Verwijder daarom de stekker
uit het stopcontact tijdens een onweersbui.
Leef steeds de volgende veiligheidsmaatregelen na voor het
gebruik van deze apparatuur.
Lees de onderstaande informatie over de veiligheid en een
correct gebruik zorgvuldig door. Leer alle functies van het toestel
kennen. Bewaar deze instructies zorgvuldig en geef ze indien
nodig door aan derden.

6 Telefoonkabel aansluiten
Volg deze stappen om de telefoonkabel aan te sluiten:
• Plaats de telefoon op een vlak oppervlak.
• Steek een uiteinde van de telefoonkabel in de wandcontactdoos van het
telefoonnet en het andere uiteinde in de ingang voor de telefoonkabel aan de
achterkant van de telefoon (2).
7 Beginnen
7.1 Een telefoongesprek voeren
Om te bellen, neemt u de hoorn van de haak.
Voer het telefoonnummer in.
7.2 Volume handset
Het volume van de handset kan ingesteld worden (low, medium, high) met de
volumeschakelaar (4) aan de rechterkant van de telefoon.
7.3 Herhalen van het laatst gekozen nummer
De laatst gekozen telefoonnummers worden in het nummerherhalingsgeheugen
opgeslagen.
1. Neem de hoorn van de haak.
2. Druk in en het nummer wordt automatisch gebeld.
Opmerking: De nummerherhalingstoets kan ook gebruikt worden als
pauzetoets tijdens het invoeren van een telefoonnummer !

7.4 Muet
Il est possible de désactiver le micro pendant une conversation. Pour ce faire,
appuyez et maintenez enfoncée la touche Muet . Vous pouvez parler librement
sans que votre interlocuteur vous entende.
Pour reprendre la conversation, relâchez la touche Muet .
7.5 Musique d'attente
Il est possible de faire patienter musicalement l'appelant pendant une conversation.
Pour ce faire, appuyez sur la touche Musique d'attente . Vous pouvez parler
librement sans que votre interlocuteur vous entende. L'appelant entend une
mélodie numérique. Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche Musique d'attente pour
reprendre votre conversation.
7.6 Volume mélodie
Lorsqu'un appel entre, le téléphone sonne. Le volume mélodie peut être désactivé
avec le commutateur de sonnerie (3).
7.7 Touche Flash
Appuyez sur la touche Flash (R) pour utiliser certains services tels que Appel en
attente (si ce service est fourni par votre opérateur téléphonique) ou pour transférer
les appels téléphoniques lorsque vous utilisez un commutateur privé (PABX).
8 Numéros en mémoire
Vous pouvez programmer 10 numéros en mémoire indirecte (0-9) dans la mémoire
du téléphone.
8.1 Programmer un numéro en Mémoire Indirecte
• Décrochez le combiné.
• Appuyez sur la touche Programme (6).
• Entrez le numéro de téléphone.
• Appuyez sur la touche Programme (6).
• Appuyez sur l'emplacement de la mémoire souhaitée 0..9 (touches numériques).
• Replacez le combiné sur la base du téléphone.
8.2 Appeler un numéro en Mémoire Indirecte
• Décrochez le combiné et appuyez sur la touche Mémoire (7).
• Appuyez sur le numéro de l'emplacement de la mémoire (0-9), le numéro
programmé est composé automatiquement.

10 Garantie
10.1 Période de garantie
Les appareils de Topcom jouissent d’une période de garantie de 24 mois. La
période de garantie commence le jour d’achat du nouvel appareil. La garantie sur
les batteries est limitée à 6 mois après l’achat. Les accessoires ou défauts
entraînant un effet négligeable sur le fonctionnement de l’appareil ne sont pas
couverts.
La garantie doit être prouvée par la présentation de la facture ou du reçu original,
sur lequel sont mentionnés la date de l’achat et le type de l’unité.
10.2 Traitement de la garantie
Un appareil défectueux doit être retourné à un centre de service Topcom
accompagné d’une note d’achat valide.
Si l’appareil tombe en panne pendant la période de garantie, Topcom ou son centre
de service officiel réparera gratuitement toute panne due à un défaut matériel ou de
fabrication.
Topcom assurera, à sa propre discrétion, ses obligations de garantie en réparant
ou en échangeant les unités ou les pièces défectueuses. En cas de remplacement,
la couleur et le modèle peuvent être différents de l’appareil acheté initialement.
La date d’achat initiale détermine le début de la période de garantie. La période de
garantie n’est pas prolongée si l’appareil est échangé ou réparé par Topcom et ses
centres de service officiels.
10.3 Exclusions de garantie
Les dégâts ou pannes causés par un mauvais traitement ou une utilisation
incorrecte et les dégâts résultant de l’utilisation de pièces ou accessoires non
originaux non recommandés par Topcom ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
La garantie ne couvre pas les dégâts causés par des facteurs extérieurs, tels que
la foudre, l’eau et le feu ni les dégâts causés par le transport.
Aucune garantie ne peut être réclamée si le numéro de série sur les unités a été
modifié, enlevé ou rendu illisible.
Toute demande de garantie sera nulle si l’unité a été réparée, changée ou modifiée
par l’acheteur ou par des centres de service non qualifiés et non-officiels de
Topcom.

haben.
1.1 Einsatzbereich
Dieses Produkt ist zum Anschluss im Gebäude an einen analogen PSTN-
Telefonanschluss bestimmt.
1.2 Anschluss
Dieses Gerät wurde in Übereinstimmung mit der Richtlinie 98/482/EG entwickelt
und hergestellt, es entspricht den europäischen Anschlüssen an das Public
Switching Telephone Network (PSTN) und den Anforderungen der Richtlinie 1999/
5/EG zu Funkanlagen und Telekommunikationsendeinrichtungen und die
gegenseitige Anerkennung ihrer Konformität. Da jedoch die PSTN-Anschlüsse von
Land zu Land variieren, stellen die Prüfmaßnahmen allein keine Garantie dar für
eine optimale Funktion an jedem Anschlusspunkt an das PSTN-Netz in jedem
Land. Wenden Sie sich bei Problemen zunächst an Ihren Netzanbieter.
Sie sollten das Produkt immer unter den Voraussetzungen verwenden, für die es
entwickelt wurde. Sie dürfen es nicht in Öffentlichen oder privaten Netzwerken mit
technischen Voraussetzungen nutzen, die sich deutlich von denen der EU
unterscheiden.
2 Reinigung
Reinigen Sie das Telefon mit einem leicht feuchten Lappen oder mit einem
antistatischen Tuch. Verwenden Sie niemals Reinigungs- oder Scheuermittel.
3 Entsorgung des Geräts (Umweltschutz)
Am Ende der Nutzungsdauer des Produkts darf das Gerät nicht über den
normalen Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden. Bringen Sie es zu einer
Sammelstelle zur Aufbereitung elektrischer und elektronischer Geräte.
Das Symbol auf dem Produkt, in der Bedienungsanleitung und/oder
Verpackung weist darauf hin.
Einige der Werkstoffe des Produkts sind wiederverwendbar. Geben Sie dafür das
Gerät in einer Aufbereitungsstelle ab. Mit der Wiederverwendung einiger Teile oder
Rohmaterialien aus gebrauchten Produkten leisten Sie einen wichtigen Beitrag

4 Sicherheitshinweise
• Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, wenn das Telefonkabel oder das Gerät
selber beschädigt ist.
• Falls das Gerät heruntergefallen ist, lassen Sie es erst von einem Fachmann
prüfen, bevor Sie es wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
• Im Inneren des Gerätes gibt es gefährliche Spannungen. Niemals das
Gehäuse öffnen oder Gegenstände durch die Belüftungen einführen.
• Verhindern Sie, dass Flüssigkeit in das Gerät gelangt. Notfalls sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen.
• Ziehen Sie ebenfalls den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, wenn während des
Betriebs Störungen auftreten und bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
• Berühren Sie nicht die Steckerkontakte mit spitzen oder metallischen
Gegenständen.
• Nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen oder Reparaturen am Gerät selbst vor.
Lassen Sie Reparaturen an Gerät oder Kabel nur von einem Fachmann des
Service-Zentrums durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können
erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
• Kinder unterschätzen häufig die Gefahren beim Umgang mit Elektrogeräten.
Lassen Sie Kinder nie unbeaufsichtigt in die Nähe von Elektrogeräten.
• Das Gerät darf nicht in Feuchträumen (z. B. Badezimmern) oder Räumen mit
starkem Staubanfall verwendet werden.
• Bei einem Gewitter können am Telefonnetz angeschlossene Geräte durch
Blitze Schaden nehmen. Ziehen Sie bei Gewitter deshalb immer den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

Einsatz dieses Geräts auf jeden Fall bercksichtigt werden.
Lesen Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise und Angaben zum
korrekten Gebrauch sorgfältig durch. Machen Sie sich mit allen
Funktionen des Thermometers vertraut. Bewahren Sie diese

1 Información inicial

1.1 Finalidad
Este producto está pensado para ir conectado en interiores a una línea RTPC
analógica.
1.2 Conexión
Este dispositivo se ha diseñado y fabricado para cumplir con la norma 98/482/CE
referente a la conexión paneuropea de un terminal a la red telefónica pública
conmutada (RTPC) y de acuerdo con las directrices establecidas en la directiva
1999/5/CE sobre equipos radioeléctricos y el reconocimiento mutuo de su
conformidad. No obstante, debido a la existencia de ciertas diferencias en las
RTPC de unos países a otros, las medidas de verificación en sí mismas no
constituyen una garantía incondicional de funcionamiento óptimo en todos los
puntos de conexión de la RTPC de cualquier país. Si le surge algún problema,
póngase en contacto en primer lugar con el distribuidor.
En cualquier caso, deberán respetarse las condiciones de uso para las que se ha
creado el producto y evitarse su empleo en redes, tanto públicas como privadas,
cuyos requisitos difieran claramente de los establecidos en la UE.
2Limpieza
Limpie el teléfono con un trapo ligeramente humedecido o con un trapo
antiestático. No utilice nunca detergentes ni disolventes abrasivos.
3 Eliminación del dispositivo (medio ambiente)
Al final de su vida útil este producto no debe ser desechado en un
contenedor normal, sino en un punto de recogida destinado al reciclaje
de aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos. Así lo indica el símbolo en el
producto, en el manual de usuario o en la caja.
Si los lleva a un punto de reciclaje, algunos de los materiales del producto podrán
reutilizarse. Si reutiliza algunas piezas o materias primas de los productos
utilizados, realizará una contribución importante a la protección del medio
ambiente. Diríjase a la administración local, si necesita información adicional sobre
